Our Blueberry Berliner Weisse is fermented with a great blueberry puree. This New England approach brings a refreshing blueberry flavor and aroma to a German classic. We feel our approach creates an authentic interpretation of the traditional “mit syrup” or with syrup method of serving this classic summer refresher. We hope you enjoy this unique year round beer.

Long time I had that kind of great blueberry Ale !
Redish color is so cool. Smell and taste smooth.
Easy to drink. For me it is a solid 5 . It is a sour but not too much... (maybe why it is rated a bit low)
Here, it is more on the standart Ale with a little extra bitterness.
Probably another name and this beer whould be better rated

A delicious sour that gets a good balance with the fruit. It is slightly blue-purple high makes sense from the fruit. Both smell and taste match in the mix of flavors.

This was the last of the three White Birch beers that I had in my queue, as I wasn't sure how I obtained these. Part of it was because the cans were undated on the bottom but nevertheless, this held up well over time as it tasted as fresh and lively as something like this could. While not a true winner, this was fun and something to take my mind off of everything in the world going on outside of this house...
As to be expected, the pour to this beer was brassy with a bit of fine sediment floating in it as the head was sparse and the lacing left behind was nonexistent. It *almost* looked like there was blueberry syrup in this as the aroma was chock full of that fruit with some lemon juice and raspberry tartness as the taste was just a bit too tangy and acrid for me to enjoy in large doses. The syrup came through in the mouthfeel as this was a bit too heavy, especially since the carbonation could have been a bit more lively. White grape skin and Lactobacilius rounded out the flavor as it was light, woody, and funky along the likes of white wine or champagne.
Not a lot of alcohol here as this went down easy, but not quickly, given the intensity of the flavor and the contrast between the underlying syrup and yeasty attributes of this beer. No date on the bottom of the can but thankfully, this held up well and was worth kicking back with. Good for anytime of the year, it's hard to imagine anyone being turned off by White Birch's offerings of this style...

A good find for summer.
Average Looks in a not-so-pretty style. Smells say fruit and wheat, but integrated. Tastes take the integration higher with just enough tart, really a skilled mild tart... and let's say the blueberries helped. Feel is very refreshing, lots of scrubby bubbles on the tongue. I just got a 4-pack. I hope it lasts to summer.
My first from White Birch. So I went on their website and they seem to have a nice operation. With their focus on a style that is not for everyone, White Birch seems to have worked their way into a market niche nicely. I cannot think of another brewer that specializes as much as they do on the Berliner Weisse. But White Birch does it well and I wish them well.
