On tap at the brewpub, listed ABV at 6% and served cold as ice.

Golden orange colour, one finger of white head, some lace points. Smell is floral and soapy, lemony cirtus scents, some cracker like malts, and quite the belgian yeast charachter for an IPA. Taste upfront has some floral hop flavours with an earthy bitterness, definite yeasty notes present, lemony flavours that are quie potent and flirt with being tart at times, floral-grassy aftertaste, Med-high carbonation, light oil, medium body. This was OK but I found a pint to be a bit much and it became a challenge to get through this. (596 characters)

June beer of the month. Hop aroma, generous white head on golden yellow body. Decent easy drinker for an IPA, with some bold hop flavour inthe finish, citrus American or British. More needed, please. Instead, plenty of malt. Not watered down, just not the recipe to attract the hop fans. (287 characters)

Tried this again last night while at the Oakville / Mississauga location. Pint served cold into an unfrosted mug :).

Appearance - Clear but rich bronze color, with a nice finger and a half of just off white head. Good retention and a bit of lacing around the glass, with some low-moderate carbonation going on inside the glass.

Smell - Plenty of hops, on the fruitier side, but more in the grapefruit mold. Not much else going on in terms of aromas, but it does smell clean.

Taste - Grapefruit with a touch of lemon, the malts are a bit weaker than I remeber them, making this a little bit one-dimensional. It's got some good hop bite, but not quite enough to make it "extreme" but tasty enough to overlook the lack of malts. Still plenty serviceable and alcohol isn't apparent.

Mouthfeel - Smooth, moderate-low carbonation, pretty solid here. A bit on the "heavy" end of things, but the first one will down easy just the same.

Overall - A serviceable if somewhat generic IPA with good hop profiles, but could be elevated a bit with some additional malt (maybe caramel or molasses would be interesting). Worth a shot and certainly a better option than most other places here that serve beer. (1,197 characters)

tap at the brewery

Pours a slightly hazy orange, fluffy white suds for a head.

Aroma of honey, citrus, and floral hops.

Piney hop flavor, biscuit malt with a touch of honey.

Medium body with tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

Solid, enjoyable IPA. Good appearance and aroma and above average body. Flavor is a little boring comparatively. Worth having for IPA fans, nothing record-breaking. (410 characters)

9oz pour at their oakville location. november 25, 2014

a: hazy but kinda vibrant orange-yellow with a finger of fluffy white head

s: oddly yeasty, like a hefeweizen, with subdued piney and citrusy scents

t: lots of belgian yeast flavour -- no thanks. touches of piney, citrusy hops. medium bitterness. not-so-prevalent malt presence

m: light-to-medium body with medium, prickly carbonation

o: the hop flavours are subdued, the hefeweizen taste is odd, and the bitterness is too high. nothing about this beer is really offensive, but i just wouldn't drink it again (571 characters)
