Dark gold, slightly orange color with a bery small complete layer of head on top of the beer. Not much in the nose, except some tart grassy malts. Taste is full and grassy, with an ok hops finish. Tastes much like any other czech pilsner, riding out grassy malts for the bulk of the flavor. OK, but no better than most of the others.

Boy, it’s been ages since I first (and last) had a Starobrno. It was in Brno, the Czech Rep and I was buying it in 1.5 quart PET bottles at a local Tesco. The good times!
And even now it didn’t let me down. Nice hoppy, slightly fruity overtone with some hop bitterness following. A Moravian beer is still a Czech beer you might say but it is quite different from the Bohemian lezáks or the Pilsener ones, interesting! Will buy it again, was only 99 cents for such a decent beer.

From the tap with fine white foam and a amber colored body. Much darker than most Lager. This shows also on a more expressed malt character. Ever so slightly Diacetyl for a fuller mouthfeel. Smooth drinkable but also a bit unexpressef on the hops

For a relatively hoppy lager, this one held a full inch of head like a champ. Had plenty of skunkiness, but not necessarily a negative, you know what you're getting into when you have a Eurolager.
Lots of bitterness and carbonation, stays light. Dry, at times bitter. I dig it as a hot weather beer. A worthy beer that has a place in hot weather.
