Picked it up as part of a mix and match 6-pack...poured in beer mug.

A: Clear golden color w/ a white head that disappears quickly. Looks like a lager.

S: Not like a lager, this smells like a creamscicle. Hops not very evident, maybe some kind of cascade in there.

T: Tastes like a creamscicle and a bud light mixed together. Hard to tell what malts are used because of the overpowering orange taste.

M: Very fizzy, almost grainy. Not all that enjoyable.

D: Would not pick this up again, but if you like sodas/mixed drinks and are not a beer drinker this could be for you.

Pours a pale light golden with a thin wispy white head, very effervescent orange aroma with a toasted cereal grain in there as well pleasant.Tastes like orange flavored cheerios kinda odd comparison but it reaaly fits for this beer like drinking tang with the morning cheerios.A winter seasonal seems kinda odd for this brew seems much more of a summer beer. Not a really bad beer I could see myself drinking this on a hot summer afternoon here in NC.

Am I the only one who thinks that Cream Ales ought ot be at least a little creamy? The aromas were fabulous. The fruit was wonderful and initially it even had a nice head.

That all disappeared after 5 or 6 seconds when the head evaporated and I was left with a completely transparant, thin, watered down kool aid.

The taste wasn't that bad, however, this beer lacked any body whats-so-ever and was completely flat.

Different. A - Yellow gold in color. Light lacing. S - very strong orange with maybe a splash of vanilla. T - strong orange taste, almost like orange crush soda. Hit of wonder bread in there. M - thin and bitter. A bite in the back of the throat. O - smelled delicious and went in with high hopes. Couldn't let it sit in the mouth very long, a little too sweet I think.

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine June 2007.

Brewed and bottled by Pyramid Breweries Inc. A flavored Cream Ale, an obvious and easy direction for a summer seasonal, which is marketed to a wide audience and even non-beer drinkers.

Orange cream soda permeates the aroma from the bottle even before we pour it into our mugs. Clear and tawny, though darker than we anticipated. Lacking in the head department. The smell of orange cream soda just doesn't shake. A very light body displays a wet and watery mouthfeel. Crisp with a soda-like carbonation. Hops? Malt? Hello, anyone home? What a surprise, an orange-cream-soda flavor from start to finish. Hard to detect any real beer- like quality until the end, when a touch of watery malt comes through. Odd orange candy flavor in the finish takes over your taste buds.

Borderline malternative--the orange cream soda flavor is just too much. And it tastes sort of diet at that. You'd be better served by just buying an orange cream soda and dropping a splash of vodka in it.

Pours from the bottle a somewhat cloudy golden orange with a small bubbly head. Orange Kool-Aid smell upfront mixed with sweet honey tones....very fruity and quite unique. I like it.

First sip comes with the same orange Kool-Aid flavor along with a nice pale maltiness and some sweet honey notes. There's a slight creaminess as well making it somewhat like a liquid dreamsicle. An interesting fruit beer to say the least.

Nice mouthfeel with a medium body that's easy drinking and quite refreshing. This is a brew I could enjoy every now and again, definetly worth a shot...especially if you like orange.

This feels like a beer. This looks like a beer. It has a light amber color and a white head.

Does it smell like a beer? No. This smells so much like the orange disinfectant I use in the kitchen I was very hesistant to drink it. I really tried to smell the honey as noted on the label but was unsuccessful. The taste really matches the odor. Just think pseudo-oranges and orange soda. In fact, you might be better off just saving your money and buying orange soda. This brew isn't as sweet as your typical soda pop but definitely has the carbonated orange thing down.

I was unable to finish this bottle. I just can't take the weird cleanser smell. Good luck if you decide to try it.

This pours a clear orange body with a small, sudsy offwhite head that lasts about a minute. Minimal lacing.
Aroma is of a Fanta or Nehi orange soda.
Mouthfeel is light bodied with soda pop carbonation.
Taste again evokes Fanta orange soda. Lemony citrus hop bitterness and orange peel provide a nice bittering balance. This tastes much better than expected, with a crisp and refreshing finish and aftertaste.
Nice drinkability, and an ideal palate cleanser. There is a pleasant, orange blossom honey character here that I find endearing. This would be really nice on a warm, summer evening, with steamed shellfish.

Thanks to mar for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the oranges. It smells a lot like Orange Tang. The flavor is oranges with some light tartness and a little bit of cream. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Opened bottle, poured into Nonic glass.

Pour forms frothy head of 1.5" that dies down to about .75". Ale is a bright amber with some bubble action in the brew.

Smell is surprising: more floral with sweet orange and a hint of fresh cut grass. Taste is pleasant. More tart orange than sweet. But finishes nicely. Carbonation is almost overwhelming, but not. Nothing s Great, but not a bad brew either.

A bit of a funky aftertaste, but I'd drink another.

A single bottle of indeterminate age and origin. Pours nearly headless with bouquet of orange soda. Indeed, the entire flavor is consumed with orange, and it seems somewhat artificial or chemical. I suppose it is somewhat refreshing in its way, but this is more akin to a soda than a beer. The orange flavor is sweet, like candy, rather than tart. I think orange flavors, if done well, could marry interestingly with citric hop flavors, but in this case there aren't any hop flavors to speak of. I had a delicious dinner tonight and this sweet confection has obliterated all memory of it. The "cream" in the title is nowhere to be found; the beer is decidedly slick and fizzy. If you want beer, stay away. If you want a soda pop type beverage, you might like this. To be fair, the mouthfeel does manage to be refreshing, and the beverage goes down smoothly enough; just not enough beer flavor. As a malternative, I suppose this will satisfy some. As a beer, however, it is diabolical.

A - bit of a watered down gold color, heavily carbonated head disappears fast

S - Sweet orange cream soda smell absolutely heavenly, high expectations at this point

T - Not quite what I was expecting, not really a orange cream soda flavor and not quite beer either. I guess I had high hopes for flavor from the smell but its wasn't nearly as flavorful as I was expecting.

M - Thin, a little bit creamy

O - overall it was a fun drinkable beer, there isn't really a competitor to compare it to so I can safely say its a great "orange cream soda beer" and its definitely worth a try.

Brought this beer into our store thinking that it would appeal to women, and many of the witbier drinkers.

Pours hazy pale yellow, bubbles... with small head. The smell is of orange creamsicle. The taste however is off from the smell. It tastes of subtle bitter orange citrus fruit and sweetness but not quite on the creamsicle anymore.

Thought that this beer was ok, not something I would go out and buy for good beer at least, but good on hot summer days, picnics and get togethers... with especially non beer drinkers.

Eh, this didn't inspire confidence from the pour, but the outlook improved from there. A decent smell of well, orange blossom I guess (smelled more like orange rind, but hey).

Taste, you know, some fruit beers over do it, but this one found nice balance between the orange flavor and the usual ale flav. Nice. Stuck around, didn't evolve, but didn't disappear.

Drinkable to a degree. Nice one, but two may be pushing it.

Bright clear gold, pale head starts decently but doesn't last. Lace really doesn't stick to the glass much at all. Uh oh, you can smell children's aspirin from two feet away. A little more genuine on a deep inhalation. Oddly sticky and slick, mouthfeel and flavor is compromised by the odd mixture of OK orange, pineapple, slickness, and distilled water. Doesn't really compose itself in the mouth, wanders in varied directions. Slightly medicinal close with lots of orange to the aftertaste. If you like straight up sweet orange, this is actually better from the bottle -- where it doesn't open up and the citrus is concentrated. Strictly me, but I can't recommend this one.

Appears a pale orange tinted gold with a nice vibrant semi clear body, with slightly off white thick chunky head, some thin uneven lacing sticks around as it dwindles. Aromatics give off strong orange peel some sugar coated notes as well with the citrus outweighing any evidence of minimal hops utilitized. Smells of oxiclean orange scented products of info merical heyday, with a floral herbal note in the background. Flavor wise the strong herbal tea leafiness with the citrus (orange peel additions) with a light creamed corn sweetness are evident. It's been around a long time, so somebody is drinking it but definitely not a regular for my dbf. Mouthfeel is light and lively on the palate with a slight oily texture from the orange peels, finish is somewhat medicinal but I'll take that. Drinkability overall isn't great I'd much rather drink a pils if I'm going for a lighter beer or a well done hefe weizen versus this style.

ST: 12oz poured into a pint glass. The bottle lists an ABV but does not list a BOD.

A: Honey and clear gold with a very thin head which vanishes quickly. There is a lot of carbonation.

S: Smells like watery orange soda (like when all the ice melts in a glass of orange soda). Some honey is in the aroma.

T: The beer tastes like flat orange soda with a bit of honey and some bread. There is some carbonation on the finish along with a lingering bitter orange.

M: Light and creamy.

O: Not much changes from first sniff to final drop.

Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a big fluffy white head.

Smell is orangey and creamy, kind of faint.

Taste is ok but nothing to write home about. Not as orangey as I would have expected.

Mouthfeel is bubbly and light. Too bubbly though. The carbonation distracts from the flavor - maybe thar was the intent.

Overall it was ok but I wouldn't want to drink it again.

The color is a hazy orange. This pours exactly like a soda. The head is big on the pour, but made of little fizzy bubbles. The head dissipates just after the pour is finished and there's no foam remaining; there's nothing there to leave any lace behind. This is an orange soda.
The smell is of orange rind with an earthy note. This is an orange soda.
There might be a very faint malt underneath here. Otherwise, the taste is orange rind with a little juice, and that's about it except that there's a note of grains in the finish. Hops are absolutely negligible. This is an orange soda.
The body is light and it just is. This is an orange soda.
Essentially, in case the point wasn't made, this is an unsweetened orange soda. It's almost an orange tea in seltzer. A sympathetic rater could give this an okay score, but a beer purist will not. I suppose I'm somewhere in between.
