Sampled at the brewpub on 1/23/09, reviewed from notes, do not be fooled by the name, this is not an amber ale, color is on the red side though, aroma is quite sweet compared to other lagers of this style, there is lots of malt, caramel, and citrus to go with a few hops, taste was quite different from the smell and had a lot of bready accents, more hops in the flavor too, particularly the aftertaste, liked how the citrus added some zest in there too, mouthfeel was pretty watered down overall, some dryness and sweet qualities at times but nothing much, medium bodied, taste does not last long, pretty light stuff and not much alcohol in the flavor, goes down pretty easy with food, not once it warms and get sweeter though, actually one of Buffalo Bill's better brews but still not worth a second shot, worth trying if going there
