A: Translucent cloudy orange with hints of tawny brown. A truly Autumnal color. Fizzy off-white head quickly dissipates as if common with force-carbonated ales.
S: comes across as spicy with a mild candied orange scent, cinnamon and allspice in particular, and a sweet rich pumpkin scent with malty burnt sugar biscuits that could very well serve as the basis for a pie crust.
T: Spicey and vaguely malty, rooty, with a pumpkin spirit. Sweet, somewhat cloying, and more of that candied orange peal hiding in the corner. You know, there's also something synthetic about it.
M: Thin and bubbly, a bit sticky.
O: It’s a good overall effort. Fairly standard as far as mainstream pumpkin ales go. It’s not bad but it isn’t as satisfying as I’d like my pumpkin/fall-winter ales to be.
