Bottle: good brown bottle, old country-style label.
Appearance: very dark brown, with a fairly solid tan head with tight bubbles. Nice.
Aroma: smoky and dusty aroma with coffee and some heavy grains.
Taste: smoked roast and coffee flavour, very interesting. Certainly different to anything I have had before (never had a smoked beer before).
Aftertaste: the coffee and heavy chocolates come through a bit more, lingers nicely.
Mouth feel: lower carbonation with a good, medium body. Helps it slide down, or enjoyable as a sipper.
Overall: certainly not sessional, but a nice sipper to be had over a longer period. Very interesting style with the smoked flavour, something I have not had before. Quite nice.

Very dark brown verging on black with a billowing, fluffy, tan head.
Slightly dusty aroma with faint notes of smoke and coffee. Nothing amazing here and if anything really, really dull.
Moderate roast and coffee flavour with a light background hint of smoke. Nothing over the top but nothing amazing either. To be fair, they would be better off calling this a stout and leaving the smoke component out of the name.
Medium body with moderately-high carbonation.
It's an okay beer but it isn't really what it claims to be. Just a bit disappointing.
