Pours a brilliantly clear amber colour. Bubbly, white head which is small and dissipates quickly. No lacing.
Some light malt is evident in the aroma with hints of hops. They claim to use super-high alpha NZ hops in this but overall it comes away a bit light a slightly fruity Australian macro lager in the aroma department.
Overall, the flavour isn't bad if all you are after is something inoffensive and drinkable. I get reasonable malty flavour and a some hop bitterness. A couple of metallic notes and a very slight hint of grain in the finish show some rough edges but it isn't bad for what is essentially a sub-premium, cheap supermarket brand. Not great by any means but certainly not bad.
This is medium bodied with a fairly high carbonation level which is possibly a tad too high and gassy.
Overall, a drinkable beer and something which is a bit better than a macro lager at the macro price point. This isn't craft and doesn't taste like craft but it doesn't purport to be.
