Well I visited this place on or about 6 19 09. I will do my best to recall all that I experienced since it was a few weeks ago. My details may be sketchy. Since I added the place I feel some obligation to give it a fair review.
Atmosphere Great little bar/restaurant with the typical Italian outdoor seating on a cobblestone street and nice solid wood bar and great presentation of the beer in the front window. Arriving at this place was like a dream. I was on the 7th day of a 9 day tour through Italy and I had seen plenty of "Pale Euro Lagers" and the like. This place was like an Oasis even from the look of it.
Quality Very good indeed for a BA. My wife had a mixed fruit salad of some sort, others had Caprese salad (mozzarella and tomato) but I did not eat. I was focused on the beer.
Service I can actually rate the service because unlike many places that I rate the service was actually superior to other places that I have been. I bought nine 750 ml bottles and the attendant reduced the price for me from 10 Euros each (about $15) to 8 Euros (about $12). He did not have to do that but did it since I was buying so many. That is nice service. Oh, he also boxed up what I had bought to make it easier for me to carry.
Selection. The following may not be impressive by U.S. standards but believe me when I say, this was exceptional to find in Italy, at least exceptional when compared to the 100s of places that I stopped in and out of while on tour in 14 cities in Northern Italy:
4 from Del Borgo
8 from Baladin
5 from Lurisia
about 15 from "Belgians" many of which were not that hard to find but keep in mind I did not see any of these in any other place in Italy
In addition to 4 beers either on tap or poured cold from bottles (I never did see the tap but people on my tour group had ordered individual beers from the menu like Del Borgo Porter and an Amber Ale).
Food: I did not eat anything there. My wife's fruit salad looked really good though.
Value: Just fine. These were Italian micro brews and about $12 USD is fair for each of those bottles.
