They did a very nice job at remodeling this place, and the beer for the "most" part was pretty good, we got a sampler....9, 2 or 4 oz. glasses from light to dark ( Lager to a Porter ). The food was fantastic, from sandwiches to full dinners, and appetizers. Actually I think the food was better than the beer. Although I can't knock the beer, It was very good too. I've been here 3 times and to another brewery 3 times. Cornerstone wins in a landslide. Worth the 35 min. trip any day. Their Grindstone Gold is a smooooth Lager I could drink all day (and may have)4.5%. And their Seven....An India pale ale made with a variety of hops for loads of aroma, flavor, and bitterness. Served unfiltered. 7.5% abv.

This is a nice brewpub. Located in an old building in downtown Madison, with two dining areas and two bars. This is the second location, the other is in Berea. They usually have a variety of 5-7 house beers on tap, and occasionally will have a guest beer as well. Their standard line-up is pretty weak, with the IPA Seven being the exception. That said, the seasonal beers are usually much more interesting and flavorful. The food is quite good and the menu is broad enough to accommodate most tastes. The service is friendly and attentive.
A comfortable place to get a few inexpensive pints of good local brew and tasty grub.
