This is a great bar. 20 taps, full of mostly very hop-heavy beers. But if you're visiting to California, these are probably exactly the beers you're looking for! Lots of Stone, Alesmith, Ballast Point, and Alpine brews. And the bottle selection is very good too -- make sure you check their current list. I only wish you could buy them to go!
The owner knows his stuff when it comes to beer, and is often around. The waitstaff are friendly, and the food is good -- ask for the Stone Beer Cheese on the off-chance that they've got it. Otherwise the garlic fries are great, as is the blue cheese burger (just bring a few packets of breath mints). A small place, and often crowded, but definitely worth struggling for a seat.
