16.9 oz. bottle. Amber colored with an off white head that sticks around. Has a earthy, leather, rope smell. Medium bodied, it has a super smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Lightly caramel sweet flavor with bakery fresh bread taste. A nicely crafted, well rounded lagar.

Pours a rich golden with a nice fluffy head that settles into a soapy-like head after a few minutes, aroma is sweet and somewhat spicey aroma very interesting for a "pale lager beer".A full flavored beer lightly sweet and spicey with a nutty malt profile with a iron note in the finish.A full flavored lager lots of stuff going on,a great Czech beer would love to have again.

Appearance This one poured a yellowish-orange color that almost radiated from the glass. The head was nice and puffy and showed pretty good retention.
Smell This is nice. The grain is sweet and well done. Its nature is unquestionable yet it isnt overpowering or too sharp. The hops are light and grassy.
Taste This is a pretty good Czech Pils. The grain is smooth and pleasing. The toffee-type of sweetness at the finish is a bit much for the style but doesnt really detract any from the overall flavor profile. The hops are light and grassy with maybe a small twist of lemon.
Mouthfeel This Pils is medium-bodied with some dryness throughout and a light, tingly carbonation. This leaves a nice, refreshing aftertaste in the mouth after every sip.
Drinkability Definitely one of the more drinkable Czech Pils that Ive had here in the US. Theres nothing here that should offend anyone and it is very smooth going down.

Label says "Best before: see label." Huh? Medium head gave way to soap-like bubbles. Dull gold color, quite clear, some good hop aroma. Sweet caramel, with a good deal of corn, finish is bitter, dry and cleansing. The same league as Rebel, better than most mass-produced Eurolagers but not Budvar or Urquell. I like pilsners a lot, but they should always be very clean-tasting and this just tasted dirty to me.

Generally clear honeyed gold spotted with a light blur. A modest white head is fed by intermittent jets of carbonation.
Fragrant of the typical (but ever-lovely) Saaz hues of prairie stems, hay, and lemongrass. It stands out in the malt department with a slightly sweetish, vanilla tinged stance.
Begins with a salty soup cracker dryness, then grows sweeter with traces of vanilla-caramel nougat and honey. It stays on the dry side with a continuation of hay and bread crusts. The middle is archtypical of freeflowing lager tidiness. A mineral-laden, but incredibly soft well-water essence grows near the tail, as everything is whisked away in a whirlpool of Saaz grassiness.
Moderate in the mouth, levitated with a brisk bead. In truth, it's a bit brawny for the style, but never at its disadvantage.
Very nice, and very different.

Klaster is malty, herbal and floral, and stoically bitter. It's velvety smooth and supple but firm. Each of its components resonate in the finish. Very well brewed. Superbly rounded. And excellent pilsner that offers enough character to keep your attention for more than one or two, and is equally easy enough to drink that that's not a problem!

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a golden yellow color with a large fluffy white head with beautiful retention and lacing. The aroma is largely comprised of doughy malt. The taste is malt with a delightfully dry and spicy finish from the hops. Overall, this is a pretty tasty Czech Pils that I wouldn't mind having again.

A czech pilsner? It's a good beer, but it's not like the others I've had. The aroma is sweet, bready and clean, but almost Belgian-like. The flavors is also a bit too clean. The hops are there, but not as in-your-face as others. The rougher, grassier hops don't come through until the aftertaste so that the first hops note is more like an American citrus rind hop. The malt also doesn't seem quite right for a pilsner. There's a touch of caramel over pale malts that altogether comes off more like an amber lager.
Bottom line is that this is a nice beer, but I'd call it a high-end Euro pale lager, not a so-so pilsener.

A - Pours a golden straw perfectly unclouded, with a fizzy white head that left a single sticky ring of lacing.
S - Crisp wheat and straw aromas, a bit of cirtus and mainly clean earthy character.
T - Clean wheat and light malt flavoring dominate the taste with a bit of herbal undertones.
M - Light and crisp with a refeshing clean finish.
D - Easy to drink and pleasant on a hot day.

Klaster Lager: Wow, was I impressed with this Czech beer. Deep golden color, with a thick rocky head. Silky malts, with a crisp snap of hops. It came in a thick half liter bottle, and had a tiny, tiny whiff of skunk, which interestingly made it taste better. Not a traditional Czech pils, but as good a beer as I’ve ever had for $1.29 a half liter.

Mmmmm....Pivo. I like this very much. Pours to the traditional deep gold color and ample carbonation; head that leave bits of lace. Smell is of mostly "decocted" malt and a bit of spicy Czech Zatec (Saaz) hops. Taste is smooth yet bold pale pilsner malt, balanced with said hops. Superb mouthfeel and finish which is bold and tasty with lingering spice and malt notes on the tongue. Mmmm good stuff. Retains some of the character that Pilsner Urquell has all but lost.

Deep yellow, nice carbonation, beautiful creamy head that lasts and lasts. Soft sweet malt aroma judisiously combined with noble hops. Saaz hops and grainy malts hit you first. It's rich, soft and creamy yet crisply refreshing. Maybe a tad less bitter than its better-known rivals. A microbrewed version of the "originals"? Try it if you find it.

Pours a nice clear golden brew with an aggressive foamy head.
Smell is on the sweet side with a floral hop scent and a bit of malt in there too.
Taste is on the sweet side with a bit of fruitiness to it. There is a solid bitterness to the hopping that is just right.
Mouthfeel is good.
A tasty Pilsner that I can recommend, I will definitely buy this again.

Pours a clear, bright, perfect gold with bone-white bubbles around the collar of the beer. Not too much of a head, but still pretty. Aromas of fresh Saaz sea-air, with little in the way of malt backing. I do believe that my sample is getting slightly oxidized already -- this needs to be drunk as soon as the bottle is opened! On the palate, invigorating bitterness that sticks to the top of the mouth is laid over a sweet malt base. It's the perfect juxtaposition of sweet, bready-dough malts and zippy, acidic hops that pilsner is famous for. Mouthfeel is superb, even for the style. Ultra smooth malts coat the tongue, and the hop oils seem attracted to the roof of the mouth. The result is a sandwich of intermingling sensations, with the middle getting the best of it. Overall, this is a wonderful pilsner. Smooth and racy at the same time, it's an excellent session beer and food beer. Excellent all around.

Served from a 1 PT .09 FL OZ bottle.
Poured somewhat dark amber. Fluffy white lace quickly faded. In my opinion, it has a taste similar to Leffe, a Belgium beer. It is very drinkable. Has slight carmel and then berry notes. The mouthfeel is pleasant and not overbearing by any means. Overall, a great beer. If your looking for other Czech beers, check out Golden Pheasant. A another great beer to accompany a hardy eastern European meal.

(500 ml bottle). Okay, I've finally figured out that the % in the name of Czech and Slovakian beers is NOT the ABV, but has something to do with the malt content. Well, 5,6% alcohol seems just right for this beer. A golden beer with a faint haziness and moderate head, and a grassy, yeasty and malty aroma and flavour that makes me wonder for a second if the beer is bottom or top fermented. Bottom fermented it is, but the Czechs would hardly call this "Special" a pilsener (it's brewed in Praha, too). Great hops bitterness in flavour and aftertaste. I always like beers where the elements yeast (not too much), malts and hops are all clearly detectable. In other words, I like this beer a lot!

This beer is light golden in color and there is little head. Some lacing is left in the glass. The smell is slightly hoppy and grainy. The taste is somewhat bitter, relativly smooth. The mouthfeel is creamy and the beer is tolerable. I wouldn't mind drinking a few of these on a hot afternoon.

Appearance: Hazy medium gold color, pours with an initially large head, but fades really quickly.
Smell: Yeasty grain, with some fruitiness (light citrus).
Taste: Crisp malt flavors with lemon and grassy graininess. Very crisp and zesty. A good flavor for a czech pilsner. Also has a nice hop finish.
Mouthfeel: Not the strongest carbonated beer, but doesn't detract very much from the overall beer.
Drinkabilty: A good czech pilsner, definitely, much better than many a euor lager. Recommended.

Kláter Premium Traditional Czech Lager imported from the Czech Republic pours with three fingers of creamy white head over a clear dark golden lager body with substantial carbonation that leaves lace.
Aromas are of morovian malts and enticing Saaz Hops that dry the honeylike sweetness of the malts. Enough bitterness in finish for good balance. Medium body with a velvet mouthfeel that is not slick. From the shelves of Lucas in Ellisville, Mo.
Deserving of the name PREMIUM emblazened in red on the label.

Aroma: light hop aromas
Appearance: good foamy, white colored, long lasting head
Clarity is excellent: crystal clear.
Color is golden yellow.
Flavor: Lots of spicy/peppery Saaz hop flavor up front.
Something of a minerally character in the flavors.
Hop bitterness is moderately high, and lingers long
in the finish (IBU 40, maybe). Very clean lager like
Backed up with malt sweetness, but the hops dominate.
Mouthfeel & body: Carbonation percieved
as being fairly high, but Saaz hops also contribute
to the feeling. Also somewhat minerally water gives
it a dry, lending it a moderate-low mouthfeel and body.
Overall: Very tasty Czech Pilsner. I could drink gallons
of this stuff.

A solid Pilsner. Pours out to a rich golden color with a small white foam head. Some lace, medium to medium low carbonation. Aromas of floral hops and sweet grain fill the nose, with malt notes lingering about. Taste is medium bodied and wonderfully simple; malty yeast, fresh leafy hops, grain. Nice. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing, but a touch more carbonation would have been welcomed. Good drinkability. Another solid beer for the summer months ahead. Recommended.

16.9 oz brown bottle with a kind of neat old fashioned label.
The beer is a slightly hazy dark straw gold. It has an attractive dense white head. Nice lacing.
The beer smells of fresh hay, flowers and grains.
The taste is very earthy for a Czech lager, I was expecting something lighter, but was pleasantly surprised by the meatiness of this beer. Nice malt backbone balanced by flowery/peppery hops. There is some grainy texture and the hops become slightly more assertive 1/3rd of the way through.
Easy drinking but complex lager. Seems to be a bit under carbonated, but I wouldnt change much about the mouthfeel. Very pleasant surprise and well worth the 89 cents investment!! Bought at Sams Wine & Liquors in Downers Grove, IL.

A very malty Czech pilsener, one that is lighter on the Saaz hops than most that I have tried. It pours a beautiful dark gold with a slim soapy head that laces well. The aroma is a very deep maltiness with only a slight hop nose. The flavor is not as clean as some Czech pilseners, very malty with only slight hop bitterness and perhaps a bit of diacetyl that gives it a bit of buttery taste. The mouthfeel is nice, but slightly slippery or soapy. Overall this is a good beer, but a bit too malty which cuts down on its drinkability.
