12oz single picked up at Total Wine in Lynnwood, Washington.
Canned on 09/26/19. Served in a pint glass.
Look- Clear medium amber color. Modest off-white head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin cap of foam, decent lacing. Moderate carbonation streams visible.
Smell- Pithy citrus (grapefruit, orange/tangerine and lemon/lime), resinous pine, sweet bready malt, light stone and tropical fruits, herbal/floral notes.
Taste- Similar to the nose. Pithy citrus and a bit of tropical juiciness up front with a light bready malt backbone, some light pine notes. Pretty well balanced.
Feel- Medium/light bodied, dry and crisp with a light bitter finish. Medium carbonation on the tongue.
O- My second offering from 7 Seas and it's pretty nice, and at 5.9% ABV I could see this being a good session IPA during the summer.

Tasted in a pint glass from draft at the 7 Seas Brewery and Taproom on July 31, 2018. Loud, sassy and relentless, the Rude Parrot has an insatiable appetite for hops! Brewed with Vienna, light Crystal and a touch of Honey malt. This golden hued IPA is aggressively hopped with Simcoe and Citra hops. A big juicy, tropical fruit, citrusy hop aroma yields way to an off dry, pleasantly bitter finish.

Bit citrusy, good hop aroma and strong finish.

From a can. A burst of fruity hops on the nose. Beautiful amber color. There is a lot of caramel malt balancing the hops. This is a good IPA.

Delicious beer! I’m not an expert, but I do want to make a couple comments.
The smell is fantastic. I’m picking up berries. maybe strawberry, maybe raspberry I don’t know, but it’s pleasant. Also some apricot in the background maybe with a tiny bit of smokiness.
The flavor well I’ll just say seems like a very well balance of hops and malts. Nothing too crazy here, just a well balanced brew. Not overwhelming. Very drinkable.

Good entry level IPA offering. Checks all the boxes you'd expect from an IPA with pine and citrus notes in both the smell and taste. Orange peel and grapefruit is most present. Great at a backyard BBQ and for casual drinking.
