32oz growler poured into a pint and shared at a local tasting. Thanks to racens for sending me this!
A - Pours a clear, straw orange with about 1.5-fingers of off-white head. A bit of haze to it, but not too much. Retention is good, with a decent amount of lacing.
S - The nose is vibrant and bursting with citrus hops. Lots of grapefruit, orange, and floral pine. A little bit of malt and grass, but this is mostly all hops.
T - Unfortunately, the taste seems to fall off a bit. Rather than getting the fresh, juicy hops of the nose, they are overshadowed by a bitterness that just seems out of place. It's even spicy at times which is a complete departure from the aroma. Still getting some hops, but definitely not as much as I was hoping.
M - Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with good carbonation. Slick and sticky, but the long-lasting bitterness lasts a while here too as well.
D/O - Drinkability is moderate. Lots of potential here, especially in the nose, but unfortunately it just has a bit too much bitterness. If the hops lived up to the nose, this would be something special.

A - Clear copper orange body, with big, pillowy white head that reduces quickly to a thin, partial film and slight lacing.
S - Strangely muted, but some mild pine and malty honey. A bit of floral hop, too.
T - The nose, but not muted. The pine comes out front, along with a bit of pith, and some orange flesh notes, against a background of cracker malt and slight hints of honey, but at the mid-point, there is a sharp spike of hop bitterness that continues through the close.
M - Very snappy carbonation scrubs the tongue. The result is a very easy drinker, despite the bitter finish.
O - Solid, bright ale that packs some flavor, too.
