Got this as a bonus in a trade. Lucky me

Poured from the can into a shaker pint glass.

A)golden clear pour, with slight head, not as much head as I thought although an aggressive pour. Head left a thin layer within 5 minutes

S). Good overall, to me grassy and slight citrus bread

T) it shines here, crisp and inviting. Very smooth. Citrus hops I get for sure as do I get the grassy hops the smell foretold. Balanced though as it has a nice malt base

M) nice and easy drinking

Overall a very solid beer. May have to seek out more Sun King

Enjoyed on draft in Indy.

A. Light copper dark straw color. Egg shell head that retreats to a healthy rim. Nice laces.

S. Bright citrus hops: pineapple, grapefruit, and mango. A little malty.

T. Starts with a minor resin but noticeable citrus hop profile. Moderate malts.

M. Very smooth, medium to light body and high carbonation.

O. This pale ale is very fresh which contributes to a super fresh and crisp feel. The hop profile leans heavily towards the citrus end. I will take another.

1 PINT can
Served in a tulip glass

This beer is amber in color with golden highlights. It gives generous head. The white foam leaves rings of lace as I consume.

When I put my nose to the can I get straight up pineapple. It diminishes when poured into my glass. Other aromas also appear like caramel malt and pine.

The taste has some mild pine and citrus. Unfortunately, I can't detect any pineapple flavor. It has good flavor for a pale ale though.

It has a medium mouthfeel.

This is a mild surprise. I have hear good things about Sun King and asked what the flagship beer was at a store in Indiana. The gentleman pointed me to this beer which is a nice first impression of Sun King.
