Another gift from my friend Chris, which he picked up in Indianapolis while driving back to college. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass.
A - Pours a butterscotch orange, with a slight haze. Minimal carbonation with a fluffy two finger head.
S - Very mild aroma, was expecting more here. Some orange, citrus and pine, with a hint of maltiness as well.
T - Starts with some nice citrus and hops and finishes dry with some bread-like characteristics. Maybe some caramel in there as well.
M - A medium - full feel for me, more heft than anticipated.
O - Extremely drinkable, if a little tame. Overall solid for a flagship, but its no Alpha King. Thanks again, Chris!

Got a can as an extra in a BBB sour beer swap - thanks Luke! Poured to a tulip.
Pours a deep amber with good clarity, decent bone-white head with mediocre retention. Aroma is hop forward with intense tangerine, orange, and low notes of lemon and pine. Low bready malt aroma. Flavor follows the aroma - medium-high hop bitterness and strong flavors of citrus and tropical fruit courtesy of the hops. Low piney hops in the background. Low bread malt flavor with sweet caramel undertones. Medium-high, mouth-filling carbonation is quite refreshing. Low alcohol warmth, a bit high for this style. Dry, slightly astringent finish from the hops. A somewhat aggressive and very interesting take on the APA style. Nice beer!

Can from CWBlues, thanks a bunch Cy! 16oz can into a tulip.
Filtered orange, with a nice dense cap of white head. Good lace and a whole load of retention. Nose has some floral and citrus notes, with some lightly grassy and pine hop notes over a bit of pale malt.Taste has more of the grassy/herbal/citrus hop mix going on, some toasty bready pale malt and a bit of malt sweetness. Bitterness is mild. Lighter medium body and on the slightly higher-than-medium side in terms of carbonation. Quite drinkable with some good flavour. A solid flagship pale.
