A: Golden honey hue with a big steady head and nice lacing
S: In the nose I picked up really faint scents of grapefruit, lemon, and maybe a little bit of pine.
T: Taste was rated a little higher because the scents from the nose came out a little more but still pretty weak IMO you mainly get a little bite of grapefruit, with some lemon and a little bit of a earthy feel to it.
F: Good Carbonation, medium bodied.
O: Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try some Sun King it's been hard for me to find. I thought it was a little overpriced it was like $10 for a 4pk. I thought the three beers I sampled from them where pretty basic. I would however pick up a 4pk or some singles when I'm Indy.

First experience with SunKing, and I will be trying more of their variety's. This reminded me a lot of Alpha King. Awesome amber color with a nice head that stays around awhile. Powerful smells of citrus. Great flavor. Citrusy with nice hops. Very well balanced beer. I think I might actually prefer this to Alpha King, but I'd have to try them side by side to be sure.

Looks great! Kind of a dark blonde with a touch of orange. Nice white head on top that sticks around for a few minutes.
Smells of citrus with a underlying malty sweetness.
Well balanced APA with a nice punch of citrus-y hops and a malt backbone that keeps up with the bitterness. Very drinkable.
Medium bodied with a slight carbonic bite.
A really good, drinkable APA. Could definitely see myself drinking a lot of this over the next few months.

Clear golden amber in color. Forms a very large light khaki colored head. Excellent retention and lots of lacing. Fairly aromatic with notes of grain, citrus, a bit of pine and some light floral qualities. Taste is very fine, slight caramel malts, pine, and a bit of grapefruit. On the lighter side of medium. Mild bitterness. Easy drinker.

Cheers and a big thanks to Kegatron for the random gifting of this pint sized can. Much appreciated my friend! Poured into a pub glass, this brew appears a clear copper color with more than 2 fingers worth of slightly off-white uneven froth. Rising bubbles of carbonation maintain the layering atop this brew for a pretty decent duration and as it slowly recedes, it leaves patches of lacework on the glass.
The aroma of this brew is quite floral and fruity. Around the edges are some minty hints of herbs and citrus rind. This isn't a bold smelling offering but what is emitting from my glass is without flaw and super enjoyable.
The flavor of this brew is quite juicy with a fruited hop flavor that blends to more of a floral quality. A bit of pulp, rind and zesty hop elements are present but with a very low-key bitterness level. As the brew warms up, it becomes more herbal and rindy with a slight accent of bitterness and touch of alcohol. In the aftertaste is a bit of toasty grain flavoring yet it maintains a very clean and refreshing feel throughout.
This is a lighter bodied brew with a moderate amount of carbonation. This is a very clean and enjoyable take on a pale ale. There really isn't much to complain about here, this is all in all a solid brew. I appreciate the 16oz serving size as this brew rapidly evaporated from my glass. Thanks again Heath!

Poured from can stamped 023? to pint glass the beer pours a translucent amber gold color with a small 1/2 finger white cap. Some retention and little lacing. The nose is the best feature of the beer, in my opinion, with it's crisp pine and citrus hop which blends well with a sweet crystal malt base. Fruity yet not overdoing it. The flavor starts with a mild crystal malt base from which the pine hop flavor and bitterness rises. The mouthfeel is too crisp with too much carbonation to really create a balanced beer and continues to retract from the flavor. Finishes with a lingering crisp carbonated bitter flavor. Overall, this was a treat, but not one I'd quickly return to. It was an extra in a trade and I appreciate it, though wish they could control the carbonation.

Thanks to HosP for the chance to try this one. Cheers!
Bright light amber color with a good one finger head that leaves plenty of lacing.
Awesome piny-resinous hops aroma. Pine and spicy hops on a light frame. Dry and hoppy with little malt body or character. Long bitter hoppy finish.
Light body with good carbonation.
More of a hop juice than a beer. Fairly one note on the piney hops. b

Welcome gift from a friend I met at Hill Farmstead. Thanks, John!
A: Clear golden-red body with a solid finger of frothy head.
S: Nose is simple and great. Crisp hops with a very light and sweet malt body. The combination is slightly tropical, maybe a little mango?
F: Flavor is smooth and balanced, with a very West Coast underdone maltiness, and a light hoppiness that is still remarkably crisp and satisfying. Kind of like SNPA, but with less hops and more light, sweet malt. Doesn't sound that appetizing in print, but it's a super tasty brew.
M: Crisp, carbonated, slightly stripping.
O: Wow, really a nice treat. I like this beer very, very much!
