16 oz. can courtesy of DSho. Pours a gorgeous golden amber with 1 finger of foamy white head that keeps a nice cap until the end along with a fair amount of sticky lacing.

Aroma is hops up front, citrus and floral.

Taste is a multitude of hops along with some sweet citrus notes, spice, malt and toasty bread with no alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel is crisp and light, somewhat dry, good carbonation with a smooth creamy finish.

Overall this is so drinkable, would be easy to knock back quite a few on any given day. Very well balanced, highly recommended. Cheers ~

Saturated sunset in the tropics orange, high clarity, speckled lace all around the glass, and a decent head when first poured.

Some orange peel and floral notes, seems like Cascade or maybe Centennial.

Lightly malty with a citrusy edge, moderately bitter with a smooth feel to it. Light to medium bodied with a easygoing level of carbonation, finishes dry with lingering herbal bitterness. Mellow and sessionable, solid go-to beer when in Indy.

Thanks Howard for the hook up!

Appearance: Clear burnished copper body topped by a finger of frothy foam. Looks like a pale ale.

Smell: A blast of ambiguous citrus as soon as I pop the can. Further inspection reveals a slight vegetal and grass note that's inoffensive. Once in the glass, the bready malt backbone comes out a bit more. It's not terribly aromatic or exciting, but it's appealing enough.

Palate: Decently hoppy with a moderate level of bitterness. Flavors of orange pith and grapefruit are dominant, and there's a slightly astringent herbal-vegetal note that trails behind. Slightly mineral/metallic mid-palate. Malt is barely noticeable, and the body feels a bit thin. The finish is largely bitter, though there's a dash of bready malt.

Overall: Nothing exceptional here, but certainly solid stuff. I'd gladly drink it again.

Thanks to adamdd for this can.

Beautifully clear amber in color with a nice off-white, sticky head of foam on top. Grapefruit and pine combine in the aroma and give an almost tropical feel with a sense of pineapple. The taste is similar and quite juicy in complexion. Some spice appears and the malts balance, coming off as bread sticks in flavor. It's a little sweeter than I expected, but not a negative at all. Quite nice and refreshing. Crisp, clean and easy-drinking. I could session this beer, if paced properly, and not get sick of it at all. What a nice rendition of an APA.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. Thanks to mordormongo for the midwest hookup.

A: Crystal clear light copper color. Relatively aggressive pour leads to a thick, sticky two finger head that takes a long time to disappear and even then there seems to be a thin ring of head until it was about halfway gone. Lacing is consistent and plentiful.

S: Not a lot going on in the nose. Some hop floral notes and some malt sweetness, but overall, pretty mild.

T: Follows the nose for the most part but there is some extra hop flavor and subsequent malt balance to go along with it. Not an overwhelming flavor. One thing I find nice is the lingering aftertaste that makes me want to turn this into a sipper.

M: Nice finish, dry up front, creamy at the end. Ample levels of fizzy.

O: A good overall beer but not one that blows me away. It's unfair that this has to live in the Zombie Dust category but I think it can hang with all of the other Pale Ales. It's good and it's a pretty easy drinker.

Appearance: Pours a clear light amber that forms a nice head that has good retention and provides tons of lacing.
Aroma: The hops are front and center; floral, grass and pink grapefruit.
Taste: Hops bitterness hits you first; floral, citrus and woodsy, then sweet fruit and french toast from the malt.
Drinkability: I like to keep a can on hand and well chilled.
Notes: Served in a pint glass.

A: Golden honey hue with a big steady head and nice lacing

S: In the nose I picked up really faint scents of grapefruit, lemon, and maybe a little bit of pine.

T: Taste was rated a little higher because the scents from the nose came out a little more but still pretty weak IMO you mainly get a little bite of grapefruit, with some lemon and a little bit of a earthy feel to it.

F: Good Carbonation, medium bodied.

O: Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try some Sun King it's been hard for me to find. I thought it was a little overpriced it was like $10 for a 4pk. I thought the three beers I sampled from them where pretty basic. I would however pick up a 4pk or some singles when I'm Indy.

First experience with SunKing, and I will be trying more of their variety's. This reminded me a lot of Alpha King. Awesome amber color with a nice head that stays around awhile. Powerful smells of citrus. Great flavor. Citrusy with nice hops. Very well balanced beer. I think I might actually prefer this to Alpha King, but I'd have to try them side by side to be sure.

Looks great! Kind of a dark blonde with a touch of orange. Nice white head on top that sticks around for a few minutes.

Smells of citrus with a underlying malty sweetness.

Well balanced APA with a nice punch of citrus-y hops and a malt backbone that keeps up with the bitterness. Very drinkable.

Medium bodied with a slight carbonic bite.

A really good, drinkable APA. Could definitely see myself drinking a lot of this over the next few months.
