On tap at the brewpub in White Salmon.
The clear golden body has a very good off-white head that leaves lots of patterned sticky lacing on the glass
Nice hoppy aroma is followed by a matching flavor.
Medium-light body is smooth with medium carbonation

Hazy dark golden with a foamy white head and thick lacing.
Fruity, melon and lightly citric.
A well done, tasty pale ale, leaves me looking forward to trying more from the brewery.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow, ample bubbly carbonation, with a big, white, long-lasting head. Grassy, organic aroma, hoppy but a bit mineral. Generous hops on the tongue, with a malt sweetness in the background. Again, pretty good, but a little on the minerally side. Light-bodied, crisp, and moderately drinkable, just a bit lacking in good flavor.

Clear pale gold colour with a fluffy white head. Great head retention.
Grassy fresh hops with a touch of grapefruit rind. Lacking a hint of sweetness.
Grassy hops with some grapefruit and hop resin. A little harsh for my liking but the weak malt profile is good.
Medium body with moderately high carbonation. A little gassy.
For me this doesn;’t quite hit the mark. The hop character is too grassy and comes across just a little bit harsh.

At the Parkway in Tacoma, I found this very refreshing. Crisp, sharp, walking the line between a 'fruity' hoppy taste and an (in my opinion) overly bitter, past-prime, hops taste. I had a couple of schooners at the bar and then liked this enough to bring a growler home. The sharper, bitter flavor seems to develop with the time at home, but I'm still enjoying it. Particularly for a 4.8% ABV this is quite good.

The story behind the name of this beer comes from a movie where a coalminer points a gun at the villain and tells him "the only law around here is the law of nature".
Had this next to the breweries IPA and the beers looked very similar, golden yellow, short white head, OK retention and lacing. The aroma was a nice blend of hops and malt, with neither dominating. The taste was also very even, although there was a semi-sharp hop finish. The body was fairly typical for the style. Drinkability was very good, smooth and easy, having several would be easy. Overall, a very nice beer, try it if you see it.

An imperial pint, my first full pour from this brewery; have sampled a couple others. Found this on-tap at Hot Lips in Portland's Pearl District - wasn't here last week, so the keg should be fresh...
Like the previous review, I'm left guessing at the meaning of 'Laws of Nature'...but the newness of the tap handle and its criss-crossed six-shooters sold me.
A: Misty butterscotch orange, look closely or you'll miss the rising carbonation (it's there en masse, just veiled in an unfiltered haze). Stubby white head, a creamy 1/2 finger. Terrific lace, tight fishnet coating the glass. Bands, like tree rings, mark where each sip ended.
S: Well, I waited and waited but this aroma never expanded beyond mild cereal grain and a lemony-limey spritz. Kind of musty and mineral, too, a strange twist. Didn't draw me in...let's leave it at that.
T: Nutty caramel malt coated with a modest citrus/pine hoppiness. Seemed honey-sweetened at times then took a U-turn toward a jarring bitterness.
M: Just a so-so feel, on the thin side. Tries to be crisp across the tongue, but can't quite muster enough strength.
D: A common style and a fairly common effort. Flavor is true enough (the guy behind the counter even mentioned it would be 'more like an IPA'), but it's not got much distinguish it from the pack. Sessionable strength is a plus.

I imagine there's a good story behind the name though I don't know what it is. Regardless, if you allow that the laws of nature are ruthless in their drive for survival of the fittest, I don't think this beer is gonna make the cut. It is thin bodied, grassy, bronze colored with a light smattering of suds. It tastes homebrew-ish like a mild bitter gone tart and slightly acrid. The malts are conflicted and never achieve clarity or focus, and the rest fails to inspire or coalesce.
