Pint at the Westside Taphouse in West Salem Oregon.
$7.00.
Pours a nice darker brown. Small beige head. Nice lace
Nose is caramel and hazelnut. Some small hops but barely discernable.
Taste very balanced, malty but not super sweet, this has some hopping but goes well with the malts.
Good mouth feel. Moderate carbonation, medium to thin body
A really well doy and drinkable brown.

On tap at the brewpub in White Salmon.
A solid but unexceptional brown ale. Clean and malty with a near even bitter-sweet balance until the mildly bitter finsh and aftertaste. Exceptional lacing.

Nicely smooth and even. Easy drinking. Good, solid example of the style.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Oh, brown ales. The bane of my existence. Well, mostly.
This one poured a clear, neutral brown color with a few stray bubbles roaming on top. Not much in the aroma, lightly roasted malts, nutty. A bit bland in the taste, nutty, with light notes of brown sugar, and not much flavor otherwise. Light-medium body, fairly drinkable I suppose, just not my thing.

A: Poured deep brown with good carbonation leaving a nice dirty white cap
S: Light roastiness, nuts and a light hint at cocoa
T: Light roastiness, some nuts, light cocoa and hint at toffee
M: Lighter body for style, thought it was tasty but a little thin, clean beer, with light booze
O: Not a bad rep for the style and easy to drink
