First brew I've had from this brewery. Not the darkest of porters. Color was decent but it sure lacked a solid head and absolutely no lace. Above average aroma, great flavor and a rewarding mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. It won't be my go-to porter but I wouldn't have a problem ordering again if on tap.

First had: on tap at their brewpub

Very light in color for a porter. The conversation between my wife and me went something like this:

Me: "Here's the porter."
Her: "This is a porter?"
Me: "Yes."
Her: "Really?"
Me: "Yes."
Her: "A porter, are you sure?"
Me: "Yes."
And so forth.

The long and short of it is, English porter can be on the lighter side of the spectrum, and this was a good example of that. The beer was a clear tea color with a patchy beige head, almost appearing as a dunkel. Sweet malts on the nose, honey-roasted nuts, and a touch of earth. Similar taste with sweet malts, nuts, notes of cocoa powder, and a touch of herbal hops. Light-medium body, and pretty nice overall.

A: Poured a standard brown with good carbonation leaving a small tannish cap. Appearance seemed thin.

S: Some light cocoa, nuts and roasted malt

T: Light cocoa, tea and roastiness

M: Medium body with moderately high carbonation and thin

O: Average in taste, thin body, nothing unique. My least favority beer from Everybody's

Medium brown colour with a smooth light tan head. Fair head retention.

Nutty malt with a hint of sweetness. Good.

A little herbal with some nutty malt. I get a lot of fresh tea in this. Lots of tea.

Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Very much a brown porter this is quite light for the style with none of the chocolate and coffee notes I’ve grown to expect in a porter.
