A: Dark, dark brown with a head that quickly piles up. Four fingers may be an under-estimate.
S: Mainly roast and a fruit, date/plum.
T: Roast is certainly present, along with fruity sweetness mid-palate. Finish is roasted coffee.
M: Thin to say the least, way over carbonated.
O: This was a bit disappointing. Only adjunct that was recognizable was the coffee, no vanilla or coconut. Mouthfeel was watery and carbonation level was a distraction.

Poured from a bomber into a Fremont goblet on 05.21.14.
A: Midnight black with some red at the bottom. No head, but has a tan ring at the top.
S: Coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel. Sweet smelling.
T: Black coffee is dominant. Char is subtle.
M: Watery and overly carbonated. There was a big fizz when pouring, like soda.
O: This was a rare miss for Fremont. It tasted good, but only like coffee. There was no vanilla or coconut as the label read. It was also way too bubbly and watery for a porter. Knowing Fremont and from what other reviewers have written, I wonder about the bottle that I got.
