Pour: On tap at Fremont Brewery in Seattle, WA. Poured into a nonic pint. Appearance: Clear amber in color with a minimal white head and minimal glass lacing. Aroma: Subtle and smooth earthy and grass aroma. Very hoppy. Taste: Very earthy. Almost ganja-like. Citrus elements are also there. Aftertaste: Very nice lingering qualities of earthiness. The ganja-like and citrus elements also stick throughout as well. Overall: Really liked this variation of Cowiche Canyon. Loved the earthy and ganja-like elements. very unique. Very Good. 4.6 out of 5.

Poured into a taster glass. Thanks, Mike.
A: Burnt orange with a creamy one finger head that lingered. Nice lacing.
S: Tropical wonders, but light on the smell. Wish it had been stronger. Citrus, grapefruit, oranges, pineapple. Light bready malts.
T: You had me at Mosaic. These hops are a wonder to my taste buds. A terrific balance of resiny hops with citrus elements and a malt backbone. Good stuff.
M: Medium with medium, creamy carbonation.
O: Another winner from Cowiche Canyon. This Freemont offshoot is one of my favorite Northwest offerings. I'm moving down the list and loving it.

Had both on tap at Fresh Hop Festival in Yakima and in the bottle. I think the tap version was better. This is very good, but not quite up to the Citra/Simcoe version. Lots of fresh hop smell and flavor.

Bottled 09/29/15. Tasted 21 Oct 2015.
Pours a slightly hazy creamy orange. Just a thin layer of white head, gone pretty quick, okay lacing.
Smell is good, but rather faint. I get some juicy fruits, some faint spice, and an acidic twang.
Taste is not so good. There's something off-putting about it, about the way the hops combine with something else in the beer. It's chalky, and bitter in an unpleasant, medicinal, aspirin tablet way. Not liking this.
Feel is fine. Medium body, prickle-tingly carbonation. But I want it gone faster!
This is the second Cowiche Canyon variant I've had, and I've liked both of them much less than the standard version. Wish I could find some more sixers of that stuff.
