Appearance has a hazy copper amber color supporting a nice healthy head leaving fair lace behind. Smell of sweet malt mixed with the citrusy grapefruit and pine. Taste has a robust grapefruit bitter that follows through the aftertaste with a fairly balanced malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Overall there's nothing really extreme or complex here, just a good Pacific Northwest IPA.

Purchased from Malt and Vine.Poured into an imperial nonic a clear medium golden with a nice 1/2 finger white head that left two broken rings of lace as it settled.A mix of spicy and citic hops with a sweetish biscuit malt base,I pick up a litle hard water I think as well.Well balanced with a citrusy hop profile, not bitter in any kinda way,it has a little tropical fruitiness to it,the caramel biscuit malt base holds true to the finish.A solid American IPA,big hops but well balanced, again very solid.

Enjoyed on-tap at the brewery.
Very nice golden appearance. Decent head retention. Nice lace.
Taste is, well, like what an IPA should be. Citrus, a bit flowery and mellow. A very good session beer that is totally drinkable, especially if your preference is hop forward beers that don't destroy the palate.

Thanks to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is fairly balanced overall. I get some nice papaya and other tropical fruit notes, with some bread and biscuit malt thrown in as well. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of papaya, mango and other fruit notes, with the bread and biscuit malt keeping the bitterness fairly low. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Both a tangerine and orange color as well as aroma coming out of this one.

Everything I was really looking for, had the big citrus presence, pine to a lesser degree, caramel not over the top (nothing was), relatively balanced for the style and region, bitterness in check. Nothing was mindblowing, nothing was just average though, file this under a really good brew by a local brewery. Had it at Hopfest!, would love to check it out again.

IBUs not grossly inflated for number ticking, alcohol well in check, I hope to see this in a bottle someday. Recommended.

from notes:

Pours a golden amber with orange tint in glass. 1/2" head with slippery lacing. Head flattens out quickly but sticks around a while. Plenty of bubbles with a light-light haze.

Smells of almost lemony hops. Bright pears with hints of orange maybe nectarine. Blasts of fruity hops here.

Almost a grapey hop taste. Like a grape cigarillo. Aftertaste of thick flavorful wheat. Alcohol flavor a little heavy, seems thicker and heavier than it's 6.2% bottle reads of. Snappy, dry finish. Like with most IPAs, leaves you quickly wanting more.

Medium to big off white head slowly recedes leaving a biscuity aftermath above a clear copper caramel colored beer.

Light citrus and grassy style hops coming through above all else in the aroma which also has a bit of sweeter caramel malts with a hint of yeast sneaking in.

A dry tasting beer with light sweet malts being the backdrop for the grassy and light citrus hops taste that is in the forefront with each drink of this beer.

A drying aftertaste that bring just a bit of the tastes of this beer along for the ride with this medium bodied beer.

A little light on the tastes but generally not a bad glass of beer.

Had on tap at Revel. Review from notes.

A: Pours a copper/amber color with a one finger beige head on top, pretty thick with nice retention. Some foamy lacing forms on the glass.

S: Nice citrus aroma, grapefruit, orange rind, and a bit of pine. There is a bit of sweet malt and caramel on the back end.

T: A very nice IPA, more tropical/citrus fruits, chiefly grapefruit, with orange, and orange zest. A bit of light caramel and grainy malt.

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: A pretty good IPA, easy enough to get too!

This pours a dark burnt orange with an ample white head.

Fresh aromatics of pine & citrus w/just a hint of white peach.

Clean, crisp refreshing IPA. Quite balanced with just enough bitterness.

Medium bodied & quite approachable. Easy to drink.

This is an excellent NW IPA. It has enough complexity to make one slow down & savor it, but also is crisp & approachable enough that it can be enjoyed in a social setting without pausing to "consider" the quality of the beer. The hops show just enough bite & linger beautifully on the palate. Can't recommend highly enough.

Consumed on-tap, in 22 oz. bottles and in growlers. Notes from, oh who am I kidding, I've had Interurban about a million times over the past three years. Can't believe I've yet to review it.

A: The beer pours a deep amber color that almost looks like golden honey when held up to the light. There is a prominent head of creamy white foam that does not dissipate as you drink the beer. Very impressive lacing remains, especially for a standard IPA.

S: Interurban has a nice grassy aroma with just a bit of floral orange peel and grapefruit lingering in the nose. These fruity notes are well-balanced with some bready caramel malt.

T: Very nice grassy flavor with some honey, grapefruit and butter pine. The malt supports the hop profile and does not overwhelm it. Hints of grain and caramel are present.

M: Very nice medium body and slightly oily mouthfeel. Average carbonation does not get in the way of this beer.

O: Probably my favorite local standard IPA. It starting to show up almost everywhere on tap, so it's my go-to brew.

22oz bomber served in pint glass. Beer pours a pale straw color with a thick off-white head. Beer is crystal clear though some sediment remains in the bottle. Extremely floral and pleasant hop aroma on this one.

The beer itself is a hop-heavy and malt-light, brining across the classic West coast IPA onslaught of IBUs. Actually the hop load is stronger in the beta acid load than alpha, but this only accentuates the "hi, would you like a glass of hops?" effect. This beer is seriously resiny and it shows in the lacing. There's just barely enough pale malt to balance it out, and even then probably not enough for all -- this is an IPA lover's IPA.

P: Bomber brown bottle, poured into a tulip glass.

A: Semi-cloudy, dark golden, brassy hue…HUGE white head with...what's that? Fresh hops floating around in the head!!!Also, leaves behind some fluffy rings of lacing.

S: Mint, marmalade, faint caramel, ripe pear, Orange citrus, lemon juice, light florals and grass.

T: Very smooth, deep crispness, hop bitterness… Upfront there is pineapple… lemon juice followed by leafy, dried grass, lightly toasted bread, clean caramel notes mid-palate. Finishes with pine and grassy floral…drying finishes…

M: On the fuller side of medium bodied, juicy, crisp and bitter.

O: Very clean, Very drinkable. SOOO FRESH (the floating hops in the head illustrate how fresh this beer is & tastes)!! Just an outstanding American IPA all around… pretty much nailed it with this one!!!
