22oz bottle into a Delirium tremens tulip. Thanks to ArchEnemyBrew for the extra!
SMaSH beers are fun. This one is made with 2-row and Amarillo, and the clarity echoes the simplicity. Gorgeous body of golden orange beneath a billowing, fluffy head of light tan foam. Aroma showcases the spicy, fruity, floral characteristics of the hops while the malt provides a bit of a bready, nutty backbone.
The flavor is, again, very simple, but very effective and a hell of a beer to enjoy on the back patio during a Summer evening. Crisp, uber-clean malt notes and a spicy, citrusy hop profile with a healthy dose of bitterness. Mouthfeel is finely carbonated and medium-thin in body. Fremont's Summer Ale is a simple beer, and simply enjoyable.
