On tap at Fremont Brewing. Poured to a tulip (notes from 8/11/11):
A - Poured a cloudy vibrant orange with hints of tan, with 1/2-finger of off-white cmall bubble head. Moderate retention, and a bit of lacing. Shines yellow/orange when hed up to the light.
S - Big orangey citrus and pine hop, along with pineapple. Hints of caramel as well.
T - Pine hop to start, flowing immediately into citrus and tropical pineapple flavors. Mild hop bitterness follows, tempered by the mild fruity sweetness, and it finishes with moderate pine and citrus hop swetness, and a tinge of caramel. No booziness in the flavor profile.
M - Medium body, with light moderate sizzle carbonation. Solidly moderate hop bitterness, but completely inoffensive since it's balanced by the pineapple and citrus sweetness. Fluid texture, but not thin. finishes with a bit of alcohol warmth.
D - One of the better IIPAs I've tried. The bitterness and sweet flavors are both moderate in themselves, and well-balanced with each other, allowing bth to be experienced. No booziness in the flavor is a major plus, though you can start to feel it by the time you finish. Definitely worth having again.

From a fresh growler into a tulip. Pours a clear coppery orange w/ a big dense head, gravity-defying lacing clings to the side of the glass. Moderate carbonation.
Aroma is mostly citrus and juicy hops, some pine notes. Smells great: clean, fresh, and sticky.
Taste is tropical juicy goodness. Primarily grapefruit, orange, and pineapple, lots of sticky hop resin. A little sweet with a nice sharp bitter finish. Plenty of neutral pale malt holds it all together. 8.5% booze well hidden.
Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, but not oily. Medium bodied, carries some weight without being overbearing. Thirst quenching and very, very drinkable. Addictive.
Overall a very enjoyable DIPA, was difficult not to just gulp it down. Well done Fremont.

Enjoyed on tap at the Fremont UBG.
A: Bright orange with a slight haze and frothy head that leaves nice lacing.
S: Tons of citrus hops. Tropical fruits and orange galore.
T: Big hop profile with pineapple, melon, and citrus fruit prominent. Finishes with a sharp hop bite. Moderate to high bitterness and some pale malt backing to try for some balance.
M: Moderate to heavy for the style and moderate carbonation. Some alcohol is noticeable.
O: If you're attracted to high IBU beers with citrus hop profiles, give this one a shot.
