Enjoyed on tap at the Fremont UBG.
A: Bright orange with a slight haze and frothy head that leaves nice lacing.
S: Tons of citrus hops. Tropical fruits and orange galore.
T: Big hop profile with pineapple, melon, and citrus fruit prominent. Finishes with a sharp hop bite. Moderate to high bitterness and some pale malt backing to try for some balance.
M: Moderate to heavy for the style and moderate carbonation. Some alcohol is noticeable.
O: If you're attracted to high IBU beers with citrus hop profiles, give this one a shot.

This is a new release from Fremont Brewing Company.
Poured into the bottom of a chalace shows cloudy apparently unfiltered. Lots of yeast floating around.
Doesn't bother me one bit - I prefer beers that haven't been over filtered just to make them look clear.
Sweet, balanced, slightly tart. Good hop flavors satisfy the need for hops without destroying the palate.
Very pleasant and very drinkable.

Poured from a can into a Stone IPA glass. Pours a clean gold with a thick, quick forming snowy white head that dissipates quickly leaving behind beautiful foamy lacing. The aroma is quite malty for a DIPA, other than that - the characteristic West Coast and mostly PNW IPA aromas surface. Citrus, faint pine and a sweet caramel smell come forward, materializing as well as you taste the beer. Its bitterness is very light, leaving a mild and sweet aftertaste. Mouthfeel I would say is not as thick as other DIPAs but quite adequate for this brew. Once the head settles, theres little to no further carbonation present.
Overall - this is a very enjoyable beer and i'm glad Fremont decided to can it. Its greatly refreshing on a hot summer day. Aroma vaguely resembles Black Raven's Trickster.
I'll definitely be buying these while available.

On tap at Fremont Brewing in a tulip. August 10th, 2011.
A: The beer pours a bright cloudy orange/amber color with a small head of white foam. Strong lacing clung to the sides of the glass.
S: There is an aroma of pineapple, citrus fruits, pine and caramel malt.
T: There is a very nice initial flavor of tropical fruit along with orange and lemon peel, pineapple and a great deal of pine. There is a nice caramel flavor that brings balance. Bitterness is present but not overwhelming.
M: The beer has a medium body with an oily mouth feel and decent carbonation. The alcohol is well-masked, but I'm sure you'd feel it after a couple pints.
O: This is a great Imperial IPA, very nice to know that it's pretty much always on tap not that far from my house.
