22oz bottle poured into a pint glass. This is actually a Pale Ale not an IPA.
A: Nice pale orange color with a very slight haze. One finger, real rocky, off white head with awesome retention and very nice lacing.
S: Great citrus hop aroma. Grapefruit mainly but not the sour grapefruit smell. Apricots, mango, and some tangerine are also present. Love the smell of Citra hops. A very light caramel malt peeks through.
T: Caramel upfront. Then a blend of hops reminiscent of Zombie Dust. Resiny, citrus, earthy, pine, and finishing with nice floral notes. A touch of bitterness. Flavors just shining through.
M: Medium body. Medium high carbonation. Oily. Good dryness.
O: Another amazing beer from Fremont. Citra hops are amazing. Definitely need to get some Kern River Citra! I can only imagine what that is like.

L: Bright gold with a touch of haze and moderate carbonation streaming to the top. Big fluffy white head with excellent lacing on the sides of the glass.
A: Huge and fresh pine resin, mango, pineapple, and some clean grassiness. Crackery malt with a touch of candy sweetness and neutral yeast character.
T/M: Nice clean bitterness upfront, moves into big grassy, piney/citrus hops with some mango and pineapple to boot. Hop flavors blend with some light biscuit malt notes and some candylike character as well. Beer finishes bitter and dry, with lingering hop flavors.
Overall, one of the best American Pale Ales I have ever had, if not the best. The hop flavor and aroma is super juicy and resiny, the malt balances perfectly, and the whole package together is nothing short of world-class. I wish I could have swung another bottle, but I am glad to have tried one.

Bomber enjoyed on 10/11/12.
A: Slightly hazy orange with a generous head that receded quickly. Spotty lacing.
S: Wow, tons of citrus aromas. Orange, grapefruit, tropical fruits. Hops are huge and remind me of ZD (yeah, I said it...most be the citra). Fresh.
T: Initially taste lots of grapefruit, orange, and some more herbal/resin hop flavors. Sweet. Malt isn't center stage, yet the beer is still not one dimensional. Finishes clean and smooth with a soft hop bitterness.
M: Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Refreshing.
O: Fremont kills it again. Really delicious, refreshing, and one of my favorite hoppy beers. I need to buy more before it's all gone.

A: Pours a dark orange body. Mostly translucent with a bit of cloudiness. Yields a thick, dense, pillowy, bright white head that hangs around seemingly forever. Leaves incredible lacing. It doesn't get much better than this from an appearance standpoint.
S: Citra hops jump out of the bottle before even poured. Mango and tangerine dance around in the glass, backed with some pine and resinous hops.
T: Sweet exotic fruits dominate the upfront taste, which quickly transforms into a bitter, piney hop explosion. The finish is crisp and clean with lingering resin and tangerines.
M: Medium body. Crisp. Clean. Refreshing. Moderately high carbonation. Sticky and Prickly dryness.
O: This came to my doorstep with a ton of hype from a buddy that is local to Fremont, so I must admit that I was very excited going into this one. Boy, did this one deliver and actually exceeded the hype train that he was driving. A ton of juicy sweet character, but is not short on hop notes and complexity either. I wish I had more than just the two bottles. Big thanks Anthony!
