Hazy, golden yellow with plenty of sediment floating around. Huge, fluffy, pillowy, bright white head. Plenty of lacing and decent head retention. Huge, pungent, piney, resiny hops. So sticky and dank. Taste is the same. Massive flavor and so clean. Screams West Coast. And its organic?! Hell yes. Proper carbonation for the style yet so smooth. Amazing session beer. I'd drink a few a day if I lived in the PNW. A seriously delicious beer. Wow. I need more beer from Fremont.

12oz can served into a teku.

A: Almost crystal clear golden color with a small white head. Little lacing.
S: Woah! Caught by surprise here. Huge hoppy aroma, big tropical/citrus from the citra and some pine resin from the simcoe. Slight maltiness to balance it out.
T: Taste is almost like the smell, just a bit less hoppiness than I expected. A bit of malts at first and then a burst of tropical hops. Peach, citrus, grassiness. Finishes resinous, slightly bitter and a bit dry.
M: Light bodied with medium carbonation. Crisp and refreshing. Super easy to drink.
O: I'd be happy drinking these all day. Way better than I was expecting for a sessionable pale ale but Fremont has surprised me!

Big slightly off white head slowly settles down to a nice lacing above a slightly cloudy slightly washed out straw golden colored beer.

A light soapy aroma with hints of piney hops and hints of lightly roasted caramel malts.

A definite hops taste but on the lighter side with some very light malts sneaking in to give this beer a nicer backbone than some other beers I've recently drank.

Slightly on the wetter side but then transgressing into a slightly dry aftertaste without much of the malts and hops hanging around with this medium bodied beer.

This beer seems to be just on the edge of being a really decent or good beer, I don't know what it as to much of or not enough of but it just seems to miss by a bit.

Can poured into Fremont goblet.

A: Pours a clear golden color with a small white head on top, little head retention, leaving a ring of white. Very thin lacing dots the sides.

S: Fantastic aroma. Lots of tropical fruits, pineapple, orange, and a little grapefruit. Really floral and inviting.

T: The flavor profile is nice, but doesn't quite live up to the aroma. It is still very nice, more tropical fruits, just a little more subdued. There is a bit of grainy and toasty malt that comes through in the finish.

M: Medium bodied, very easy drinking.

O: A really nice APA. The aroma is great, makes you think its going to be a hop forward IPA almost, but the flavor doesn't bring that. For a pale ale it is still great, probably my favorite Fremont beer in a can in terms of kicking back and having a few.

12oz CAN-QUEST

Organic Pale Ale using Cowiche Canyon Organic Simcoe & Citra Hops

Fremont has thing for these low ABV IPA/Pales. Very light straw-golden body, crystal clear, fluffy white head. A nice aromatic hop burst on the nose. It's a light pale ale - the cracker malt backdrop is a little too big for my taste - hop profile is clean and crisp but its rather subtle. Had higher expectations for this - tasty, and certainly sessionable, but underwhelming.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a nice white two-finger head with good retention and chunky lacing. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, biscuit malt and citrus fruit. Flavor follows, mild biscuit malt, citrus and grassy hops, light citrus. Finishes biscuit malt and residual lightly resinous citrus hops. Flavor is somewhat subdued compared to the aroma, but nicely balanced. Medium bodied. A very nicely made balanced pale ale with a well selected hop component.

Little bit of hazy color, with a slight floral beginning and then some citrus. Great flavor for a low ABV pale ale. I'd put this up against some imperial IPA's in total flavor, without the heavy bitterness. Really goes well with some spicy food or after a day working outside in the heat, with no aftertaste and a clean finish.

Thanks to FalconA for throwing this can in as an extra to go along with the #properglassware.

Clearish golden-straw pour with a bubbly white head that fizzled out pretty quickly; minimal lacing. The aroma was great: fresh hops: grassy, citrusy, fruit rind, distant biscuity malts. Unfortunately, it kind of fell apart in the taste, and didn't nearly live up to what the aroma promised. Grainy malt bill, still some nice citrus hoppiness, but a bit muted, especially compared to the smell, and there was also a bit of astringency going on. I didn't notice a freshness date on the can, but I don't think it was that old. Body was bordering on light and medium, decently drinkable, but just seemed a bit off to me, and I probably wouldn't want to try it again, unless to test the freshness theory.
