Our first Double IPA – dry, refreshing and hoppy. We really focused on hop flavor and aroma here. To maximize hop character, we dry hopped Dinner twice with over 6 lbs. of hops per barrel. For the best experience, please enjoy fresh as possible.

Not a huge fan of going agressive with 5s but I think this one deserves a spot alongside the greats and is probably my most favorite from mbc. Dinner, mo, lunch another one on the IPA/apa side.
Nice golden straw with abundant offwhite head and a super sticky glass coating lace. Smell of super floral and a bit of hop resin. Taste right on point with the nose big floral hop punch, some pine and grapefruit and a soft malty backbone with a bit of biscuit yeast. Feel exactly what you want with good carb, delicate yet coating

A: Cloudy, darkish shade of orange, with a foamy, white head.
S: Mango, some peach, sugary like sweetness, grapefruit, pine.
T: Similar to nose. Mango was very prominent in the flavors along with peach and a slight grapefruit like aftertaste.
M: Medium bodied, slight bitterness, hops bounce off the tongue, medium carbonation. A Good balance between the malts and the hops along with the citrus like flavor.
O: I'm glad I was able to finally score a bottle of Dinner….great stuff!!

Thank you Jason! bottled on a Saturday drank in WI on Wednesday. Pours a perfect head into my teku glass, almost a golden orange hazy appearance. Smell like a hop bomb/1, so many fruits coming forward. Taste reminded me of King Sue, perfect balance between tropical fruit, citrus and floral flavors. balanced bitter finish. It has a great mouth feel, overall its a fantastic beer, super well crafted with everything you want from a DIPA

16.9 oz. bottle poured into a tulip.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, glowing orange with a huge white head that shows good retention. Some dotty lacing is observable. Lots of carbonation going on in there. Okay, let's see if this is the real deal ...

Aroma: Huge, strong, very attractive nose. Lots of tropical fruit. Kind of smells like apricots and candy. Also peach, mango. Pine is there. Definitely one of the best beers I've ever smelled.

Taste: Wow. The taste fulfills the nose. Bursting with big tropical fruit flavors. The mango comes forward a bit as it warms. Peach, apricot still there. That pine note is still there. Little bit of sap. Impressively dry despite the sugarish aroma in the nose. Everything you've heard about this beer is true.

Mouthfeel: Remarkably smooth. Not abrasive at all despite super hops and pretty high alcohol by volume. Alcohol, by the way, is deep in the background. Deceptively, almost dangerously, drinkable.

Overall: A powerhouse. Everything is true. Terrific beer.

Hot on the heels of Lunch IPA, the Main Beer Company sees potential. Backed with the knowledge of what "imperializing" can do to hops, they get back to the drawing board and devise an ale that's sure to become the equivalent of catnip for hop-heads.

Deep within its deep and cloudy goldenrod prominence, and underneath its creamy and lacy foam cap, the ale calders from below with a deep and dank citrusy perfume that's tropical and teeth-churningly tantalizing from its scent alone. But once the highly seductive elixir touches the tongue- magic begins to happen- The seemingly drippy fructose flavors of honey and caramel wrap around the tongue and begin to massage it with its powdered sugar and arid candied taste.

But dissolving swiftly much like cotton candy, the hops judiciously scare the malts away in order to bring a militant hop tilt to the fold. Vibrant ruby red grapefruit, branch-ripe tangerine and candied lemon link up with a tropical sense of pineapple, mango, passionfruit and apricot for a medley that's straight out of hawaiian punch and a sherbet medley. Yet as IPA does, all those suculences round smoothly into a soft and surly bitterness that's redolent of sweet pine, fresh-cut grass, muddled chive and cannabis oils.

And with all that, the ale resonates moderate and medium on the palate. Its lush and creamy textures are countered by hop and alcohol dryness with mild ethanol spice and a suave bittering that's gentle on the gullet. But make no mistake about it- as the ale finishes resinous and supported with a malty exoskeleton, the complexity and strength of this beer is no joke.

We had this beer as part of a blind taste test and I was blown away. The beer poured a pale/straw yellow color and was rather cloudy. There was only a little head, but good retention. The taste was amazing; sweet, tropical and clean.

Got a chance to try this over the weekend and it was absolutely AMAZING! I don't believe I've had a beer that smells so fantastic. The tastes backs up the amazing tropical fruity hoppy smell. Love it.

Is this a great IPA? Of course, and we all know it. However, I am largely basing my score on how smooth and refreshing it is. Let's see, the nose is well citrusy like most west coast IPA's I am use to trying, but definitely heavier on the mango and pineapple, which is enjoyable. The nose is similar to a pseudosue and golden nugget if that provides any clarity. However, the taste was more of piney/orangey with a little bit of lemon. I didn't really taste the mango or pineapple that I smelled initially, and which was noticeable in the body with a pseudosue and golden nuggest. On the other hand, I cannot complain as this was incredibly hoppy with a very nice hop profile(not overly bitter) and had a nice clean mouthful of pine, orange, and earthiness. It is fairly light as other posters have mentioned, but I feel this is nowhere near an issue since this is an IPA and not an imperial stout. Overall, great flavor and appearance, and much better than this year's version of pliny the younger in my west coast opinion.

Absolutely amazing. Best double IPA I ever had. We also did a blind taste test with heady and mastermind and stone enjoy by. This one came in first place accross almost all reviewers (6 out of 7 had Dinner first place). This one stands up to the hype.
