Pours a cloudy, gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, pale malt, hops, hint of pepper, hint of floral, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, hint of pale malt, hops, hint of yeast, hint of alcohol, hint of floral, and a hint of pine. Overall, good appearance, aroma, body, and blend.

Poured from bottle into large tulip glass.

A very pale, slightly hazy yellow beer with about a finger of tight, white head that quickly dissipates leaving slight lacing on the glass.

Slightly dank aroma followed by some citus notes, possibly lemon, and a very light scent of malt.

Taste is also dank and citrusy, with cannabis followed by lemon and then slightly bready malt. This is not a flavor bomb. The tastes are subtle.

Very crisp, light, dry and refreshing. A very easy-drinking beer.

Overall, this is a great light-bodied APA, with subtle but delicious flavor.

Clean, dry, drinkable, and yes, some pepper taste. However, the black pepper taste is minimal, perhaps perfectly balanced.

Maine's Pepper Ale is on the bottom-end of the hoppiness of the pale ales, very much indicative of the American Pale Ale style.

Definitely worth trying to get.
