Poured from a 16oz bottle into a duvel glass. Bottle dated 11/23/12

A: pours a hazy golden with a massive three fingers of fluffy white head. Head dissapates slowly and leavs globs of sticky lacing all over the glass.... Enough lacing to warrant a 4.5 but the massive long lasting head is a bit if a turn off for me.

S: nice citrusy and flowey/grassy hops in the aroma, along with some slightly bready malts. The citrusy notes are reminiscent of grapefruit and lemony orange peel. A pleasmt aroma.

T: tastes alot like the nose.... Alot of lemony citrus hop notes, along witha touch of grassy hops as well, not really any bitterness to the hop flavor, balanced nicley was some bready malts... The taste is crisp, refreshing and well balanced.

M: lush creamy medium body with medium carbonation... A hint of bitterness on the end making the finish a touch dry.... Very drinkable.

O: this is a very well balanced citrusy pale ale, very mild on the bitterness while still displaying a good amount of hop flavor and character. I'm not usually a huge fan of pale ales but this is pretty tasty.

1644th Review on BA
Bottle to City Beer Store Tulip

Bottled 10.12.12
Thanks to Thegerm87 for this one

App- A golden hay color with a small yellow center. A bit of goldenrod intermixed around the strong center and lighter edges. A huge 3 finger head that was foamy and frothy and white like a first fallen snow. An amazing amount of cling on this one. A pure wall of foam and then a puck in the center.

Smell- This had a nice aroma to it. A little bit like a lemon lime soda mixed with beer. A good hoppy aroma but balanced out by the lime and had a large bit of grassy herbal/floral to it. A strong amount of grapefruit on the nose.

Taste- Im not sure I wanna call this a pale ale. This was a head scratcher for me. Had a bit of a pale, a blonde and a triple mishmash going. It was hoppy, grassy, herbal and a bit of grapefruit pine with a balanced malt backbone. A little bit like a forest to me. A good bit of zest and the grapefruit carries over.

Mouth- A lighter medium body with a light medium carbonation. A good amount of that residual flavor sticks around. A good grassy, piney and hoppy flavor with a good touch of dryness and a little hay.

Drink- I enjoyed this. It was a little old. Almost to the end of its "best by" but still really flavorful. A good bit of spicy hops with a good lemon background flavor and a good bite behind it.

Bottle date of 4/03/13. Excited to try this since its the freshest peeper I have been able to obtain.

A-Two fingers width white head that dissipates slowly and leaves nice thick lacing on the glass. Straw yellow body that is extremely effervescent.

S-Fresh hops right in the face. Very down to earth citrus nose. Mango, peach, melon, grapefruit and apple peal are right there. Lemon grass and pine are apparent in the citrus aroma. Hop resin was there when first poured but disappeared while enjoying it.

T-The taste is great but not as interesting as the aroma gives off. Upfront I get orange/tangerine with a hint of lemon bight. Than comes the sweetness from the malts. This beer is extremely crisp and clean for a pale ale/ipa. At the end of the palate comes a slight bitterness.

M-Good mouthfeel. Highly carbonated for the style but I enjoy it. On the thin side of the spectrum for the viscosity of the brew.

O-An awesome highly enjoyable and drinkable pale ale. Its not always available in southeast PA so when I see it I grab it.

1 pint 9 fl oz bottle into Flying Dog chalice. bottled on 10.12.12.

A: slightly hazed, beautiful pale yellow body. head is a massive bright white plume. retention is good and the lacing is thick.

S: lemons. black pepper. almost saison-like in its aroma. grapefruit skin.

T: like drinking a glass of lemon sherbert. grainy and chewy as well. dries out on the finish. there is a lingering flavor that reminds me a little of Captain Crunch cereal.

M: a fine carbonation on a light body. the bottle conditioning is well done.

D: dammit this stuff is dangerously drinkable. seriously one of the best APA's ive ever had. find it. drink it. drink it fresh please.

Poured into an impy nonic a light lemony golden color with a frothy one finger white head that stuck like glue to the glass as it settled ever so slowly into a frothy mass.subdued citri hops in the nose, they are there but just a bit subdued,a light toasted grain note as well.Bright and lemony hop flavors with some herbal/grassy notes underneath, pretty dry with more of a toasted malt base.A easy drinking dryer APA with good hops, maybe didn't live up to the hype for me but still solid.

MBC brews have been all the rage since their start. They are quite expensive beers, retailing around 5+- per 16.9 ounce bottle so I generally do not buy them. However MBC beers often can be sourced locally on tap for the same price and they are very tasty. Peeper is actually quite pale, similar to a lager. The smell is florally hoppy dominate as is the taste. I could drink these all night long as it is a very sessionable and smooth.

Big thanks goes out to mdfb79 for this one as a part of the Birthday BIF! Enjoyed this one while watching my Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets take on the Dawgs during rivalry Saturday! Served from bottle into a COAST Willi. Poured a hazy golden yellow with a two finger white head that subsided to one finger very slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, pine, pine hop, spice, spicy hop, grass, and earth. The flavor was of sweet malt, fruit, pine, pine hop. Fruit hop, earth, earth hop, and spice. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. While this one had a lot going on in it, it really managed to stay pretty well balanced in both the aroma and flavor. The flavor was fairly light and crisp which made it really easy to drink and rather refreshing. Really glad I got the opportunity to give this one a try and I hope to try more from this brewery in the future as well.
