Notes/Commercial Description:
Our take on an American amber ale. Complex malt bill delivers notes of dark raisin, chocolate and biscuit. Copious additions of American hops yield notes of pine and citrus.

Beautiful garnet color body. Frothy tan head lasts forever.

Aroma is more hoppy than expected. American hops. Very cascade like. West coast memories. Citrus. Earthy malt aroma. Nutty. Remeniscent of some of the few more hoppier English brown ales. Maple syrup as the beer warms up. Unique.

Wow flavor is great. Not too hoppy as the nose might lead you to believe. More malt forward here especially up front and definately more so for an American amber ipa. light biscuit notes. Rum, some raisin, juicy. Finishes with a pungent strong, yet very clean bitterness all at an american ipa caliber. I wouldnt call this beer highly complex but the balance is amazing. Excellent play between with the hops and malt going on here.

7.2 abv but goes down more like a five O.

Color of the beer and the aroma make this beer very intriguing especially after you taste it. An excellent offering. Looking forward to one day visiting the brewery for this one on tap.

This beer pours a reddish copper color, slightly hazy with a nice off white head. the smell is hugely hoppy with some nice malty undertones. the flavor follows sui with there being a huge hop flavor right up front followed by the malty backbone that keeps the beer rounded. mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. overall this is a great beer, but i find maine beer co to be a little expensive.
