Look- Black in color, no transparency
Smell- This beer is aged on natural vanilla beans, but I can't really pick up on much vanilla in the scent. I smell a really great smokey scent, roasted malt, and maybe even a little hint of coffee!
Taste- This was so much better than the first time I tried this on tap. Perhaps it is best served from the bottle. I really love the smokey flavor and the way the roasted malt and vanilla comes together. The vanilla is very subtle but in the perfect way-just enough to compliment the other flavors! It is somewhat hard for me to distinguish was else I'm tasting; maybe some maple, coffee, and cocoa? It is just so good and that is not just Mean Old Tom talking!
mouth feel: lighter than a typical stout, but regardless it still has a ton of flavor!
Overall: I'd recommend this for sure. Maine Beer Co. is a solid brewery and always puts out a great beer. I'm really happy I gave this another try.

Poured from the bottle into a MBC ale glass
A: Black as night. Nice edges that resonate light brown/tan. Lacing is minimal. A swirl bring some carbo back to brew. No legs to speak of.
S: Deep black chocolate notes with that vanilla that is touted. Huge roasted notes. Surprisingly, there's some neo-hop notes coming though on the back of this.
T: very balanced for how sweet and hoppy this is trying to be, I have another, I may age it a year and see if the hoppy notes secede. Yeast is mild and some toffee presents, may be yeast notes trying to push it out.
M: Smooth. Roasty like coffee. Not overly full, but not thin. Middle on feel. Malts definitely dominate ultimate out breath.
O: Me likey. May be my favorite flavored stout due to mouthfeel and not overtly chewy malty notes.
