A - Beautiful golden orange pour, slightly hazy with adequate carbonation. Poured an enormous head in a tall ale glass (4+ fingers!), which was pure white and left lovely, thick lacing on the glass for the entirety of my experience. Very impressive.
S - Smells like a pure hop bomb: bright, hoppy, grapefruit, lemongrass. It smells like the flavor "tart" come to life in my nostrils. Strong but clean. A little bit of toast. The scent retained its strength down to the bottom of the glass.
T - Very nice clean taste, strong of grapefruit/orange peel, and a hint of lemon. Pleasant caramel malt balance, and a slight citrus, apricot, and mango sweetness. Very, very well balanced.
M - Fresh and crisp, very easy to drink. Instead of an oily sheen, it more feels like you've left some grapefruit pulp in your mouth; the aftertaste is very pleasant. One of the better mouthfeels I've had in an IPA.
O - This drinks thinner than a DIPA (not as syrupy), but with almost as much flavor. Definitely one of the cleanest, most enjoyable IPAs I've had.
Bottled in late May.

Poured into a standard pint glass. Bottled on 28-Jan-2014.
Hazy golden orange. Or as my wife puts it, "dehydrated pee." Nice silky-looking head with minuscule bubbles. Definitely unfiltered (as if they were lying). Head lasts as a film on the top of the beer until the last drop.
Spicy hops. Malty sweetness. Pineapple? Citrus! No alcohol. Low esters. Non-phenolic, although some spicy phenols may be melding with the spiciness of the hops.
This beer is just the right mix of hop bitterness, dank hoppy flavor and malt. Nothing seems out of balance. Nothing even peeks its head out more at one point before or after another flavor. Smooth as glass, tasty as a mofo. My glass doesn't spend much time on the coaster.
Medium bodied, how I like my ladies. Silky, how I like their undergarments.
What needs to be said? For some beers that have garnered a strong following there's no question as to why. The balance here is incredible. The flavors are just perfect and the contributions the hops, malts and yeast make come together for a wonderful experience. If you haven't had this beer, seek it out.
