A - Thick white head tapers off to reveal an intricate lacing, all atop a golden semi-translucent body. Very nice look.
S - Crisp and heavy aroma of fresh hops (I was able to get a bottle only 2 weeks old) Dried fruit and raisins are strong.. not overwhelming.. but very present.
T - This IPA is very toasty. What starts as a very dense fruit flavor eases into a tangy, almost lemony finish. There's a lot going on in this guy.
M - Full bodied IPA, the hops tend to stick to the sides of your mouth but don't linger enough to give a nagging aftertaste. Remarkably clean finish.
O - This is one of the most elusive beers on my list, and I've gotta say, at long last, it holds up to the hype. Maine Beer Co. does it again. Named after an injured whale off the coast of Maine, Lunch is easily one of the top pours from the brewery. The pricetag isn't friendly (as is the Maine way) but if you're looking for a quality pour, look no further.
