(4.25) A: Clear and copperish with a tall white and creamy foam head Very good retention and equal lacing.
(4.5) S: Loads of fresh pine erupt from the bottle as it’s opened. Very buttery baked bread-like malt undertone is fantastic. Grapefruit rind and crisp orchard fruits of pear and apple. Overall a very complimentary aroma that is also quite potent and powerful.
(4.25) T: Similar to aroma with pine bitterness coupled with juicy pear and grapefruit flavours. Even some tropical flavours including papaya. A toffee and buttered bread-like malt backbone is subtle. Incredibly drinkable with minimal bitterness and nicely balanced.
(3.5) M: Lighter bodied with a low carbonation. Oily texture with a bit of resiny chewyness. This is coming across a tad like semi-flat grapefruit juice but it’s not a game breaker at all.
(4.0) D: Would really like to try this fresher but was still impressed with the taste profile and dynamic aroma. Maybe not their best offering, but that being said, an excellent addition to the Maine Beer Co. family.
