Just after opening our brewery, working long nights, weekends, and still maintaining our day jobs, my brother Daniel (the brewer) had twins. Cheers to his courage and dedication to making better beer.
Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry. Hops: Falconers Flight, Simcoe.

Pours into a standard pint a dull medium golden with a large blooming white head, maybe a little over carbonation issue.Juicy grapefruit in the nose with a little grassiness as well, not much malt profile just juicy hops.Maybe the best hop profile of any "standard" pale I have had flavor-wise,fresh grapefruit and grassy flavors with a dryer base making for just hoppy goodness.A tad sharp in the mouth but man this is just a hopped up flavor punch of an APA.Wow.

Draft at La Cucina. Pale golden pour, cloudy, slight white head. Citrusy aroma, piney, hoppy. Similar to the Woods & Water, a nice balance of grapefruit and pine, softt, light lingering bitterness.

Pours out a pale yellow, nice amount of head and carbonation. Very nice pale ale but I've definitely tried better.

16.9oz bottle purchased from the fridge for $7.49. Bottled on 11/22/22, so this is two days shy of 6 weeks old.

Look: Pours a beautiful light copper orange color with a very thin off-white head. Nice clarity. Lively bubbles rising up the glass from the stem. Appearance became slightly hazy after pouring the bottom of the bottle.

Smell: Very nice orange rind note. Spicy notes. Subtle vanilla. Green bell pepper after swirling the glass.

Taste: Mirrors the nose for the most part. Up front, it has a restrained juiciness with nice notes of orange and apricot.
Nice caramel malt flavor to balance the hoppiness. The finish is mildly to moderately bitter with a noticeable peppery dryness. Notes of pine and orange rind, which linger long after swallowing the beer.

Feel: There is a bit of chewiness to the mouthfeel that is really nice. Medium bodied. This beer is very drinkable.

Overall: This is a very solid American Pale Ale. It's no surprise that Maine Beer Company makes this beer well. Reminds me a bit of Half Acre's Daisy Cutter Pale Ale. It would be interesting to compare these two beers side by side, or perhaps in a blind taste test?
