16oz. bottle poured into a nonic. Bottled 10-22-13
(A)- Pours a lightly hazed golden orange color. Produced a giant 3+ finger frothy white head. Great retention and tons of clumpy lacing.
(S)- A great balance between juicy citrus and mellow pine bitterness. A little lime and pineapple. Minimal underlying sweetness.
(T)- Not as hoppy as the smell let me to believe. Mostly some pine with very mellow honey sweetness. Extremely small hint of lemon citrus on the finish.
(M)- A good carbonation level. A git too strong on the pine bitterness side for my tastes, but otherwise has a good feel to it overall.
(O)- I look forward to seeing what else Maine brewing puts out, but for $6 a bottle, I suppose I was expecting more, but it is one solid pale ale if you like alot of pine in yours.
