American Pale Ale (APA) |  6.00% ABV

Notes/Commercial Description:
Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

What a big bitter beast! I love that this is a 16 oz'er. It fits lovely in a nonic pint. Pours lookin like a pale ale until I swirl and add the yeast then it gets this cool funky brown-ness to it. Big white head with some scant sticky lace.

Smells awesome, big hops- citrus, pine, but mostly citrus. Nice dry malt cracker flavor to back up the bitter. This beer is awesome, might be my new fav pale ale.

500ml bottle poured into tulip 12/4/14

A hazy pale orange, not a whole lot of visible bubbles but it pours a big head that sits around for a while leaving partial rings deep down the glass ending up as a low island, looks great

S plenty of tropical fruit, canned peaches, sweet orange, pineapple, and bruised mango, some floral notes, and a hint of pine, has a big nose going on and I can smell my glass an arms length away on the table

T not far from then nose but just toned down a little, some lemon rind and slightly more pine and some bready malt in the background

M lighter side of medium, bitter without turning my mouth inside-out, very gritty in the mouth, creams up, and lots of citrus rind on the finish

O this one works well for me, hopped to hell but not a complete runaway, IPA level of hops no doubt

I was pretty stoked to see this brewery in Alberta and my first experience was a good one. I'm looking forward to the other 3 I have in my fridge.
