Another new business and Whole Foods type "light" store nestled just off U ST. It's a small organic grocery store but has some very basic craft beer selections.

Prices are in line with the neighborhood. It's easy to miss the beer as it is far in the back of the store. Selection isn't really that impressive, you can get most of these items in DC at the better stores in the area and they offer more.

I can't say much about the service, but I am sure it's fine, but you're better off going somewhere, else such as farther up the street on 14th in Columbia Heights to D'vines.

Would have never stopped here if it weren't for the previous review of this new organic market on 14th street.

Large selection of wine on the right side of the store as you enter leads you to a couple coolers of beer, with some warm items stored above. The selection is pretty good, but don't expect to find anything here you can't find at other stores near by (whole foods, D'Vines, and Cairo). Some interesting beers included Goose Island Demolition and Night Stalker (will be interesting to see how long it takes them to sell those) and the Brooklyn version of Hopfen-Weisse. As you would expect they had many Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada brews, as well as Peak Organic, Flying Dog, DFH, and other usual suspects.

All in all this is a decent store. I won't be expecting any rarities, but a solid option when looking for some craft beer in the area. I was just looking for something to grab for the warm afternoon so I left with only a 6'er of SN Torpedo. I'd plan on only using this place for small craft beer runs to hold you over, and the other places in the area for more extensive shopping. Still, I support and appreciate any new place that carries this much craft beer.

Most grocery stores in DC carry Buds, Millers and perhaps Sam Adams etc. If you're lucky you'll see the occasional Flying Dog, Magic Hat or Dogfish Head, but never a rare brew.
Places like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's tend to have better selection than most DC groceries, but theirs are typical and not surprising.
The selection and corresponding prices at Yes! Organic Market ( only two blocks from the U Street/Cardozo /African American Civil War Memorial metro stop) ARE surprising. Small organic markets in my experience tend if anything to carry rows and rows of bizarre organic wine and perhaps as a novelty a few Wolaver's or Peak organic beer. Yes! had these and nearly a 100 other beers (certainly not all organic, but this is easily forgiven).
I came out of Yes! with a list of 20 beers to later buy, many of which I had never heard of. There were at least 60 different varieties of six packs in the coolers alone. Many single bottles including the usual belgian suspects and some unusual and rare local and organic varieties. At least two rows of Dogfish Head brews (and not just 60/90 minute, they had all the strange and beautiful brews I hadn't seen yet in stores here).
I will be coming back to Yes! a lot while I'm in DC. As it is so close to the P Street Whole Foods, where I'm sure a lot of beer purchasing must occur, I would suggest that everyone in the area give this place a try.
