Roasty finishing malts, balanced with just enough bitterness provides a traditional amber ale that is dark red to the eye, but not heavy on the palate. 16 Mile names this premium amber ale for the famous sunsets found at the Breakwater Lighthouse located off of Lewes Beach, Delaware.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours reddish orange with a small off white head. Smells of caramelized roasted grain. Tastes of caramelized grain with slight fruit aftertaste. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

Very good ESB which goes well with any kind of seafood plus at any of the wonderful Delaware beaches. Kind of an obscure style at this point thanks to Americas obsession with everything up the wazoo. This is a wonderful example of a classic Extra Special Bitter

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass. Dark red-amber color and very clear. Smells somewhat yeasty/sourdoughy. Taste is much too sweet for my palate. Mimimal hop taste to counteract the extreme malty sweetness. Needs more hops to create some balance. Not horrible but won't drink again

Cross between an ESB and Amber Ale. Cherry, caramel, roasted and earthy notes in the taste. Aroma is similar but muted. Mild spicy hop finish that is semi-dry.

Poured from a bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thin, off-white head. Aromas lean toward sweet caramel with a little pine. Taste is fairly sweet, some caramel notes, followed by some hopiness and a crisp, bitter finish. The bitterness on the end is not overpowering or intense and rounds out the flavor nicely. The feel is light/medium bodied with some slickness and dense, airy carbonation somewhat like seltzer water. Overall, a solid amber that is easy to drink. The flavors give this beer a nice depth, but the feel leaves something to be desired.
