This is an excellent beer. Nice and malty, but well attenuated, highly drinkable, and hoppy! This is an american brown ale with Kiwi hops. I think they finish with strickelbact hops. Its certainly being tweaked as its been changing ever so slightly over time.

One of the first american browns brewed in Australia? Certainly one of the first with a decent distribution.

Jamil raved about this beer on his recent trip to Australia.

Bottle: standard 330mL brown bottle, stylish and cute label per the White Rabbit norm.

Appearance: pours a transluscent dark-brown with hints of chestnut-brown against the light. A small head pops up and hangs about for a time.

Aroma: a heavy caramel / treacle aroma with enough earthen and fruit hops to balance. Some sugar behind also. Quite refreshing.

Taste: not the strongest of flavours, but the caramel and hops are still definitely there with a touch of liquorice. One of those dark ales that are great for a warm day.

Aftertaste: all flavours hang about for quite a time, with some sweetness lingering. Nice.

Mouth feel: a light- to- moderate body with moderate carbonation. Works well.

Overall: whilst I wouldn't have this every day mainly as I can't afford it) I would definitely pick up a 6-pack every now and then. I am glad to report that White Rabbit have produced another great, easy-drinking beer.

Bottle at The York Tap, York, England (£5.50, 330ml):
Dark brown to chestnut with a few red tinges throughout and a really thin foamy head on top that is tan coloured and holds fairly well.

Hoppy with a darker caramel aroma and some sweet malts and toffee. There is some sugar and a few lighter fruits lingering in the background. This one definitely seems more American brown ale than English brown ale, on the nose at least.

Caramel malts and again more hops than I expected with some sugary sweetness and some orange with a hint of apricot and peach lingering in the background and touches of bitterness too.

Medium bodied & hoppy with strong carbonation and a semi-bitter feel to it. Very smooth and with touches of sweetness that all balanced out quite well.

Quite a nice beer all round with a good hop character & great balance with a very smooth mouthfeel. I found this one incredibly easy to drink and got through it in no time at all.

I've had this as both bottled and on tap. I liked the tap a bit better - held its head a bit longer and laced nicely and the aroma seemed more distinct, clear caramel and some fruit. Draw had a 2 finger head, dark brown appearance.
Taste was good, not too bitter and finished well. Easy to drink.
Overall it was my fav on tap at Little Creatures Brew Pub in Freo. Australia, even though it isn't "officially" a product of Little Creatures.

Appearance: Deep and earthy mahogany, with a dark beige head. Head fades quickly and leaves minimal lacing down the glass.

Aroma: Toffee notes along with some grain and barley-sugar.

Taste: Sweet toffee and malt with some sultana aspects. Maybe a touch of chocolate. Minimal bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body and medium carbonation.

Overall: After trying their Witbier, I was a bit worried about this one. Fortunately, it proved a step in the right direction, as it was a better beer than their White Ale. Probably a little bit too conservative and thin, it was, however, quite drinkable and inoffensive.
