Okay, so I am in Sydney and trying to absorb as much of the local culture as I can in my time here. I bought this at Fine Wines in George Street by the Four Seasons.

Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with slight head and minimal lacing. The aroma is slightly vegetal but not all that appealing like some Belgian whites. No new mown hay scent. Taste is slightly tart, slightly grassy with a bitter middle and a short dry finish. Mouthfeel is generally thin and overall not the best of style.

Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with a large head.
Nose shows plenty of orange peel, lemon, and coriander with the citrus threatening to overwhelm everything else. Malt is somewhat grainy but is mostly hidden by all the citrus.
Flavours are a bit of a let-down, the initial citrus, coriander and light wheat are fine but afterwards you're left with stale malt, sour-dough and vegetal notes.
Carbonation is crazy high!

White Rabbit White Ale is a fairly flavourless witbier.

A: Cloudy pale yellow colour and and a 5 mm head that dies hard and fast. 3

S: Spicy with a hint of pears and some yeast. 4

T: Sharp clove and citric flavour with noticeable hard-water salts. I don't love it. 3

M: Foamy with reasonably-large bubbles. 4

O: 3

Pours nicely - crisp looking yellow colour, slightly cloudy, bright, fresh looking. Nice looking beer. Faint smell of lemon, spices and phenols. Phenolic mouthfeel, slight spice. Fairly thin. Slightly "mass market" harsh in the bitter finish, which is contributed to by some phenolics.

Never been a fan of beers with honey and spices added. reminds me of a bees nees.

Drank from my Weihenstephaner Weizen Glass

A - Pours a hazey lemon straw colour with a white head that is tight and reatians well.

S - Aromas of grain and malts.

T - Not much other than citrus and some wheat. Quite refreshing.

M - Light body and medium carbonation.

D - Will quench a thirst but not my cup of tea.

This pours a cloudy light golden colour with a fluffy white head. Retention is ok.

Herbal notes on the palate and a touch of tartness - citrus?

A bit of honey sweetness is the first thing I get on the palate but then the tartness comes in a balances it out a bit. Not an overly flavoursome brew.

Highly carbonated - maybe a bit too much so?

Not a bad beer but plenty of other Australian wits out there that I'd rather drink.

Looks great. Very witbier pale golden wth a beautiful marshmallow head and consistent lacing. The nose is some what muted. The honey is there but it actually reminds me of an aged semillon, almost lanolin like mellowness. The palate is decidedly lacking. Nice creamy texture but just lacking in real up front flavour. Hop presence is minimal and bitterness low as expected. This beer doesn't directly purport to be a witbier anywhere on the label but the look would suggest that it was the inspiration. Honey is the main feature here rather than coriander and orange - don't know if they were even used in the brew, I can't detect either. Despite being as fresh as can be it just feels a little old and tired - lacklustre.

On tap.

A: Served a hazy light golden color with a decent head that fades to bits of lacing.

S: Fairly mild aroma, sort of fruity and a bit herbal.

T: Taste is fairly mild, bit of fruit with a mild malt sweetness and a bit of grain. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish.

F: Fairly light body, smooth but a bit bland.

O: Pretty ordinary for the style.

Appearance: Cloudy Yellow with a foamy head

Aroma: A very light aroma of honey and yeast.

Taste: Light again, with orange and citrus notes and a hint of honey on the finish

Mouthfeel: Very dry on the mouth, almost thin. Very tight carbonation.

Drinkability: It's okay.. Very refreshing for sure but my personal taste is for something with more body and flavour.

Pours a very pale straw colour, very light haze but otherwise clear. Hypnotic flow of bubbles up the glass towards a head that was overblown when first poured, but sinking quite steadily and unevenly. Leaves a few clumps of snowy lace around. Would like more haze, less head, but otherwise decent.

Nose is intriguingly fruity. Quite tart it seems at first, but there's a fair amount of juicy aroma to it. I'm getting apple, pear, and some white grape notes coupled with the more predictable candied orange aroma. Still a touch of tartness makes it seem refreshing, and an underlying whiff of smooth honey adds sweetness. Pretty nice.

Taste is a bit simple for the most part. Starts out sweet, with a slight grainy note and that underlying honey sweetness again. Doesn't evolve much towards the mid-palate, although maybe a touch or two of that apple/pear fruity flavour but not a lot. Finish is where it 'all' happens, with slight spicy piquancy, a hint of white peppercorn and some coriander around the edge, a slight woody taste to boot. Leans very slightly too much towards savoury on the back, leading this a bit off the drinkable path. The honey undertone carries through but is too subtle to affect the finishing balance.

Mouthfeel has a great texture though. Surprisingly full body for the ABV, and a gentle bubbly texture with slight prickly finish. Suits the piquant finish and sweet start both very well.

Not a terrible beer by any stretch of the imagination, but it's uninspiringly mild.

Poured with a swirl half-way, Hoegaarden style -- still, the yeast cake seems resolutely stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Fortunately, it's still a cloudy pleasant body; very pale straw yellow coloured, just deepening to a hint of orange in the thicker portion of the glass. Head is a magnificent frothy meringe of white. Lacing is sudsy. Looks every bit the good witbier.

Nose is sweet, citric and candy like. Big hints of orange rind and lemon sherbet, with a little acidity which renders it a little like oaked chardonnay. Not a huge nose, and it lacks the spicy and herbal coriander notes of the best examples, but it's not bad.

Taste is muted, but still it has that pleasant sweet citrus character throughout. Extremely clear and clean and fresh, giving everything up for a smooth, drinkable palate. True, it's missing some big, cranky and fragrant characters of the best wits, but it sure puts together something clean and refreshing.

I think this beer captures the philosophy of a wit rather well, if not its full spectrum. The style is meant to be refreshing, drinkable, slightly acidic and extremely clean. This does a good job there. If it lacks a little something I think it can be forgiven. I prefer my wits to err on the side of refreshing drinkability than on the side of robust experimentation.

This is a very pleasant beer, well made and with purpose. I can definitely see it becoming part of my regular rotation.

A: Pours a bit cloudy pale yellow beer. A bit of carbonation and head is 1 finger but disappears quickly.

S: Smell of lemon, a wee bit of honey. No smell present of hops. Light smell of yeast.

T: Full taste of carbo in the beginning, bubbly. Surprisingly weak taste, not what I expected. Light beer with a faint taste of citrus and honey.

M: Mouthfeel is pretty sharp, lots of carbo but then softens.

Overall: Read a good article about this beer in a food magazine in Melbourne but it’s not quite what they wrote about it. Taste is weaker then expected. It’s a nice beer to drink in the summer but it ain’t material for beertastings.
