330ml bottle poured into an Orval goblet.
Great looking dark brown opaque color with hint of orange amber hue, the pour yields thick fluffy tan head with exceptional retention. The foam is soft and delicate yet full of lively carbonation.
Esters contain ripe banana, plum and mellowly mingle with dark bready malt, caramel, dark candy sugar, mild phenol, dark chocolate, coffee and some creamy note.
Base by a solid malty goodness, estery and sweet dry up the palate by lending a mellow ripe dark fruits touch when caramel and dark candy sugar sweep throughout. Phenolic spice and clove are much more bolder than in the aroma as leverage and make balance. Hop bitterness is vague just ghost-like and at the very end. Phenol and sweet last for long as the tail of taste after finished.
Rich body with velvety smoothness and good crisp from fine lively carbonation, finish is dry.
Solid yet delicate, complex yet easy to access, great quaffable quality yet hiding an evil trait, this beer is totally remarkable.
