Appearance-A very murky dark brown with some hints of red. A beige fluffy 3 inch head rests on top and slowly reduces to a light film. Some nice lacing rests along the side of the glass. Also some yeast floating around as the bottom of the glass.
Smell-Instantly I get two aromas, booze and fig. No matter how many times I go back that booze is really coming through. Some spice and banana in there as well.
Taste-This beer very much tastes like rum off the bat. Booze, lots of dark fruits and lots of sweet malts as well. Although the booze is very predominant it is extremely smooth and balanced. This is an incredibly tasting beer thats so simple, but complex and perfectly balanced.
Mouthfeel-Light-Moderate carbonation that coats the tongue and mini flavor morsals burst all over. So smooth and balanced.
Overali-Ya, this beer deserves the hype, it's very nice. I just love the complexity and the fact that it's easy to drink and goes down easy. Definitely going to seek out the 6 and the 10.
