Wow. Massive, frothy, tan head.
Nose entices with yeast, bread, banana, plums, raisins, even some chocolate esters.
Taste: There's somewhat of a lightness in the taste department. I do pick up caramel as the primary element. Leans toward sweetness which builds the deeper into the glass you get. Not much in the hops department. Raisins, plums, compote stewed fruits, graham crackers, wild avocado honey.
Decent carbonation adds support. Mouthfeel further enhanced with a creamy, smooth texture.
A respectable Belgian that adds warmth as one settles down with this brew. Extra points for Trappist authenticity. Go Monks!
