11.2 oz bottle into a Chimay goblet.
Muddy water brown with a one finger head that disappears except for the ring of foam from the stem of the glass.
The smell and taste is quite complex, morphing from the first sip to the last as the drink warms. Early there are fruity notes that are coupled with alcohol burn. Later there are more yeasty esters along with chocolate and butterscotch flavors.
It was a good beer that I enjoyed slowly. I do have my first Rochefort 10 in the fridge, though, and I hope it is more impressive than the 8.
