Note: Bought all three of these at B and B beverage in Bayside. Allowed to cool to a 50 degrees cellar temp before pouring into a tulip.
A: Dark hazy crimson red, with a huge reddish tan head. Lacing is etched into the side if my glass as if the monks came to my house and did it themselves. Simply beautiful. Great head retention, lasts throughtout the whole experience, and i was savoring very slowly.
S: Big malt punch with cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Chocolate and plum as well. Alcohol esters are present.
T: First notes are chocolate malt, honey and cloves. Secondary notes are cinnamon, roasted coffee and macintosh apple. Tertiary notes are of banana, noble hop and corriander. Beuatiful "wet" and smooth finish
M: Very smooth Medium body, with light carbonation. More sweet than bitter, and no alcohol warmth detected, even at 9 + percent.
O: By far the best dubbel ive tried to date. Like the rochefort 6, this was almost a religious experience. Im very excited for the 10.
