Dark mahogany brown, bordering on black. Brownish head with a fairly good amount of lacing.
Raisins, brown sugar, some breadiness and spiciness, and some candy and alcohol on the edge.
Sweet bread with raisins is very prominent, some mild other fruitiness, and some alcohol on the bite. It doesn't seem quite as complex as the 10, but I am enjoying the taste more so.
Oily, carbonated but not immensely so like a fair amount of Belgians. Overall, right where it should be.
Doesn't have quite the boozy kick of it elder statesman '10,' and comes off better for it. The bready sweetness comes off very well balanced here - and I think I ended up enjoying it more than 10.
