Cloudy, deep brown in appearance with a generous head. Unsure if beer is naturally hazy or if I disturbed the yeast a bit too much
Nose is the real treat with this beer. Reminds me of a clean brewery, some unfamiliar smells along with the yeasty bready aromas that you love. Take that and combine it with many desert spices that are elusive, maybe brown sugar, nutmeg, Christmas pudding, and Irish bread pudding with amaretto topping.
On the palate the beer is noticeably thin bodied and carbonated well but you're just so enchanted by the nose that you don't care what else there is. Yes, I can't get past the nose. No need to comment on taste.
Finish is somewhat sour and reminds me of burnt apples. Can I just nose the beer? Is that permitted?
